Reviews

The_Light_Triton Everyone has made a few mistakes in their life. Duane Chapman has made too many to count. one day, he finally decided that it was time to clear the slate, and do something good with his life. so in short, he became a bounty hunter.Just what does a bounty do? He goes out into his respective territory, and finds people who have jumped bail. (people who have not shown up for their court date) and he tracks them down all over Hawaii. At the same time, he deals with people High on ice, people who don't like his kind, and his own family. Now, there's a lot of people who don't like the dog because he might be somewhat of a hypocrite (he claims to be a Christian, but swears, makes racial slurs and takes the lord's name in vain sometimes) and that he belongs in jail, but those people who hate him need to judge themselves. they are no better, nor worse than the dog. Some people like to call his wife a fat pig with enormous breasts. sure thats true, beth is much bigger than the average woman, but remember, she can take most of us down. Never forget that. and yes, her 'blessings' are much bigger than the average blessing as well...and she can flaunt it all she wants, they're hers.I've only found one con while watching dog. He lets his daughter Baby Lyssa in on the chases. while I might sound sexist by saying that, but when his daughter is dumb enough to try to arrest a guy much bigger than her WITHOUT handcuffs, then that's putting his own daughter in jeopardy like that. and then after, Lyssa goes and cries to Beth. somehow, if you're going to play with the boys, you'd better be ready to take a beating or two.Bottom line, I like watching this show every time that it's on, so i guess that makes it good in my eyes.9/10
diecast_heart Dog is the man!! Bring back my Dog!Please??? My daughters and I cannot survive without his shows and we miss Beth, Leland, Duane Lee baby Lyssa, Tim & the whole crew! They are family to us. This is wrong to take this show off the air for a word that we all have used, and he used it in a private conversation! Freedom of speech America? Dog is a role model to my daughters who's 'father' denied them a few months ago. I'm a single mom, trying to put two girls thru college. Every Tuesday night we sat together to watch Dog. He's our hero. Please bring him back to us & the millions of other fans. Dog Chapman has done so much good for so many people , getting drugs off the streets and putting the drug dealers in jail.My girls have no role model now. Can't you see the this black,is that legal to say, girl is after any kind of money that she can get from Dog. And she's a schoolteacher buying minors drinks?? Oh yeah, real good character there.Thats what Dog was afraid of. He was trying to warn his son what kind of person she was. And the whole world interfered. Its none of our business what goes on during a private conversation between father and son.Would you like the world listening to your private conversations?
KLPRESTON81 I love watching Dog The Bounty Hunter mainly because he shows how people can turn their lives around. He has a couple of splendid pieces of eye-candy in the form of Duane-Lee and Lealand. Dog should get a lot more recognition in this country for what he does and maybe bring Bounty Hunting to the U.K.The current season of Dog is just as excellent as the first two seasons and hopefully he will make another one soon. The one thing I can't understand is why on earth Justin was in the show to begin with? I mean if you watch the first two seasons then you will understand what I mean, he didn't really do anything. I think the only time I saw him proper fired up was when he had a bust up with Beth over a fag.As I was saying if you enjoy shows like cops, Police Camera Action, Street Crime UK then you will love Dog and his Family. As the great man would say "I'm THE bounty hunter"
terulian_maveric Okay, first off, before I get to reviewing, I've done my research. Duane "Dog" Chapman was arrested and convicted for being an accessory to murder-1, that is, he was present and didn't stop another member of the gang he was then a member of, the Devil's Disciples, from murdering that person. He was in for 5 years, and got out on probation after helping stop a prison break. To the poster whom said that he's not a legal bounty hunter, all you did was post the laws in your particular state, I'm guessing, on what qualifications you need to be a bounty hunter. To the person who said that bounty hunters are supposed to kill... no. Too much Star Wars for you. Boba Fett's line of work was more along the lines of "Assassin". In the real world, a bounty hunter is hired by a bail bondsman to go collect criminals who fail to appear in court. In some cases, they're considered to be law enforcement officials, which means that they get full co-operation from local law enforcement. As for another poster who asked about him going after Osama, he's been quoted as saying he would go for him if the US Government would put him on the case. Now, as for the illegal capture, he went to Mexico to capture a rapist, and since bounty hunting is illegal in Mexico, he broke a law, but wouldn't catching a rapist be worth it? I think so.Anyway, this show follows the work of Dog and his family. Wife by common law marriage, Beth, sons Leland and Duane Lee (as of season 2), and "brother" Tim (there's no actual relation), and the Dog himself go out and apprehend fugitives. He's very successful, probably due to the camera not showing when he's missed his marks. I think that many episodes show a great insight into the flaws of the criminal justice system, because they do exist. It's really a good show, if you like the sort of real-life action that comes from bounty hunting and catching fugitives.
