mamalbg No, it's not a completely new concept , but it's a fresh take on " the returned ". The characters are great, the story is fantastic, the accents are yummy lol I really enjoyed the first two seasons and can't wait for more to come !

hitchedhunter Was looking for something to watch on Netflix and came across this. Absolutely loved it and hope there will be a Season 3!!

D H The concept for this show is good, but it appears to be one of those Sci-Fi shows that remains small scale as a result that the writers are aware to do more with it would dramatically affect the budget. As a result the story becomes introspective, it leaves the primary premise (returning from the dead) alone to get lost in backstories and conflicts between the characters as a diversion from dealing with the shows driving issue. I might be wrong but usually this is because the writers see a great idea but can't really take it where it probably ought to go, nor think up the answers that give the initial premise closure. So the idea of a group of resurrectee's living in the outback is ok. The show has real potential but it needs the courage to face the fact that the introspective plot lines are not very convincing. For example (Spoilers) - The fact that the cop would want to keep it a secret that people have returned from the dead. The fact that the local Doctor would be complicit in this. The idea that the doctor would take the resurectee's to a secret location in order to keep them 'safe'. It bumbles on with these distraction plots. The acting is fine, the sets are fine, the Aussies have developed a good track record of producing drama's, they're good as relatively low budget shows. Great premise but please, be bold. Drive the main story arc.

wtmerrett I enjoyed the 1st season and it has an interesting premise but apparently the writers and producers only had thought as far as the 1st season. The 2nd season totally sucked. The writers did not know where to take the story after the 1st season ended and also had no idea how to properly end the 2nd season. The directors were also not very well chosen as more then a few times the characters did things that a normal person would never do....such as shake hands with some one only an hour after taking a bullet in the same shoulder. Really director....if the actor was not smart enough to shake with the opposite hand then it is your job to DIRECT them into appropriate behavior. Hence the name "Director". Damn I hate poor direction. Emma Freeman directed 9 episodes of this show and has won awards for her direction so she may know better but all I can comment on is what she did on this show and her work here was poor. The producers were motivated to do a second season when they knew the story and premise was truly only good enough for a single season.
