Reviews

melissacct I LOVE watching Julie Andrews, and this adorable show was a great way to introduce her to my youngest kids, and I also enjoyed seeing the special guest celebrity appearances. However, I had trouble loving the puppets. The show would have been better with a cast of real kids. I think children watching the show would appreciate seeing actual children learning the performing arts, and it would be more relate-able to them.
Elizabeth R Wood So good to see Julie Andrews continuing with her gift of the Arts. Many of us have enjoyed, throughout our lives, her wonderful Singing (can not be matched), Acting (Movies and TV, on stage), Dancing, Directing, and the Writing great books, she and her daughter have made available to our children, grand children and great grand children! (I have almost all of them.) I was so disappointed to see the "trades" dropped in our Elementary School and High Schools, cutting "expenses" in our education world. What a travesty! I have seen this program and the way the "Greenies" learned so much in just one program-it was delightful and exciting! Having this kind of learning come right into our homes was a brilliant idea! Thank you Ms. Julie, Emma, talented Gullian(?), puppeteers, and special guests. I pray this will be available for several years to come. I believe, theEarly Learning Schools of ALL kinds, even for older kids, should make this program available. What a fantastic way to teach the Arts. Children will be tied to the screen. What kid doesn't enjoy puppets!! I must mention specifically, Ms. Julie, you could not have done a better job fulfilling Your dream of bringing the Arts to ALL our children! Thank you and God Bless you all!!
mks099 All the aspects of the arts are targeted each week with a special guest/guests artists. I am in heaven! I love that each week there is also a life learning lesson for the kids. Using Arts in curriculum is my joy as a teacher. Where has this show been my whole life? If you have kids, this is the show for them.
bclemente-41195 This show is simply wonderful. It put a smile on my face for the rest of my day! I am in my mid- 20's, and have been a lifelong lover of theatre and the arts as a whole, and even though I am not the most ideal audience for this particular show, I believe it has something for all ages. I have laughed out loud several times at the hijinks that Hugo the Duck get's himself involved in and some of the more sophisticated jokes that are actually very cleverly written. Furthermore, to be able to see Julie Andrews in the limelight again is truly wonderful. I am thrilled that a younger audience will now get to experience her and her infectious passion for the arts. And these guest starts are top notch! Arts in education is something that I have benefited from greatly, and I know that funding for the arts is always on thin ice - especially with the current powers that be. I am so thankful that this show came along and came along NOW when it seems most urgent to show how the arts are necessities that not only can bring people together but can have such a positive impact upon individuals and the world!!
