Reviews

fitgreenvalley Same inflated issues, same over the top lines, same silly competition between David and Hillary, and same obnoxious personalities. I hadn't watched in several years so I thought I would give it a try. Nothing has changed. And now there are lawsuits because of their incompetence and shoddy dealings with couples that participate and spend their own money on rehab that doesn't get done or done poorly. D & H are actors, and not good actors at that.
pachamamajeanne Thank goodness they're still making this show with Hillary and David because their spin off show isn't nearly as good. I thought they'd been replaced with younger, vapid models but thankfully not. This Toronto show works better because of the chemistry between Hillary and David. They're obviously talented and I have seen them do miracles for impossible clients and budgets. I love how they pick on each other but you can tell they care about each other. Don't feel that with the spin off. The main problem for me with the spin off is Jillian, who's very aware of the camera and playing to it, which is distracting. Don't feel any chemistry between her and Todd.
nataliegonz-84401 Originally I thought this was a great show. Then i watched Proprty Brothers, Fixer Upper, and Flip or Flop. Hilary is the biggest scammer in the world and I feel bad for the homeowners that hire her. She is always making excuses as to why nothing more than paint, new cabinets, and new floors can only happen. I'm tired of her scamming ways. Flip or Flop is based in Cali which I live in and is the most expensive place to do anything in especially home improvement. BUT Flip or flop still manages to flip an ENTIRE HOME which means every room, structure work, foundation work, and additions with the same budget Hilary is given. She needs to take lessons from the Property Brothers, Flip or Flop, and Chip and Jo.
curtisc-04407 This show is so stressful to watch. If you have ever seen "Flip or Flop" on HGTV, you know that Tarek fixes foreclosed, destroyed homes for around $50,000. Hilary on "Love it or List it" barely does anything to the houses even with budgets that exceed $100,000. She must be ripping off the people on the show and paying her contractor friends a ton of money. I have seen her say, "We don't have enough money to add a closet." A closet only costs about $800 to add! Hilary is an absolute disgrace. Then, she spends half of the budget on furniture and decorations, which have nothing to do with the value of the house! I have no idea how Hilary even has a job, let alone a TV show.
