mobengafer Why nickelodeon just why you had good live action shows like the adventures of Pete and Pete Clarissa explains it all all that salute your shorts the Amanda show drake and josh Zoe 101 the troop icarly victorious life with boys house of anubis Ned's declassified unfabulous every witch way wits academy and 100 things to do before high school now we get this the thunder mans Henry danger nicky Ricky dicky and dawn the other kingdom and game shakers you should cancel them all because they say it's for teenagers but they act like 3 year old shows and have nick Jr jokes anybody could understand. It acts so stupid and tries to be the next Zoe 101 and victorious but it fails it also acts like it's only for teenagers it's so stupid i'm begging you nickelodeon you did a good job with taking of sparky from the fairly odd parents because of the number of hated people but now you need to do it to shows like we get these days if you want your network to get better than at least cancel all your live action sitcoms and you will be fine and no more low ratings that's all so if a show gets lower than 5.8 then cancel it that's all so are you going to cancel them if you aren't then leave people leave your network and not care and we will be watching Disney and cartoon network because of shows like this i don't know why but you only care about the viewers nothing else ratings are important and so are comments a show like game shakers has a rare amount of fans and you renew it just because it has lots of viewers sure ignore me and leave people hate your network except for 6 year old's
Kai Lin Bottom line, I am not supporting this show because the producer of this film has pitched this show said to a Canadian media company and my friend( who is an employee there at the time and also an Asian male ) asked him are there going to be any Asian guys, to which this producer replied, " Asian guy in my show? Not gonna happen!!". Read this reddit article: http://www.reddit.com/r/television/comments/2y6qk6/tv_producer_asian _guys_in_my_show_not_gonna_happen/This goes to show you how racist these producers are in this industry. As an Asian male myself I am extremely offended by the marketing materials already because it obviously just portrays Asian girls lusting over the white guy which is not only stereotypical, but perpetuates stereotypes that divide the Asian community by purposefully including Asian women and purposefully excluding Asian males as if we are non-existent. It doesn't stay true to Kpop at all, in which the industry consist of 50% Asian MALES. I would give this -10 stars if I could but there isn't that option here. This show truly disgusts me.
Sean Lee A Kpop show without Korean/Asian males is like a Hip hop show without Black males. How ridiculous would it be if Nickelodeon created a Hip Hop show for kids, and there was 0 black males on it? I didn't even know how they get away with such a clean and obvious example of discrimination against Asian males. Nobody at any point in the top management decision processes was like "Hey, this is wrong. Why are we discriminating against Asian males so much? Can we really attribute the absolute invisibility of Asian males in media to lack of talent, or is it institutionalized discrimination?"or even if racism is intrinsically built into those guys,"Hey, Thomas, I know you are like 'I will never have an Asian guy on my show', and 'I know we want to perpetuate fetishism on Asian females, permanently typecast the whole race as feminine', but this is getting too obvious. People are going to say something. They are going to point this out."Hollywood, when can you stop being so bigoted so that we can move on into the 21st century?
somecasualreflections I wanted to be fair and avoid calling out a show that I had never seen before, so I sat down and gave it a chance before making this. Admittedly, watching this show became increasingly difficult as I found the criticisms to be true with every scene. I don't know if this counts as a spoiler, but I cringed a little as the only male leads that were given any dialogue were White. Surprisingly, I was able to spot an Asian male in the background at one point, and when I say spot, I mean it was basically a Where's-Waldo scenario of finding this guy in one crowd of one scene. "Resist the temptation to review on other reviews or features visible on the page." This is one of the guidelines for posting reviews on IMDb. It's actually kind of funny that of the four reviews here, one review has about 2-3 sentences dedicated to reviewing the actual show and an entire paper dedicated to responding to ticklegear's review of the show. Not that past credentials matter, but of the two nay-sayers to any racism, their total experience on IMDb is of reviewing this one show with a combined membership time of about 3 weeks. Interestingly, the bitter "racist" ticklegear has been on IMDb for about 9 years and written 113 reviews of various movies and shows. It's a really tough call on who seems to have an agenda and who's the objective, experienced reviewer, so I'll leave that up to those reading this.In all honesty though, I recommend this show be given at least one viewing. It's very difficult to appreciate the complete absence of Asian males without watching the show one time. Every male character that is introduced: white guy, every scene that has an undertone of sexual attraction: white guy, the main back up dancers that aren't part of the mosh-pit scenes: to be fair, there was a white guy and a black guy, so at least not everyone is being excluded.
