Reviews

gillianewitham I love this show. I've been obsessed ever since I first saw it on TV when I was like 9 years old. 10 years later it remains number one. It doesn't matter how old you are. In my opinion it's a show that a wide range of people would really enjoy. Not only is Scrubs a an extremely funny series, but it also has a strong meaning. At almost every end of an episode, they explain to the audience what's important in life. It's like you learn something very useful in life after every single episode. You don't necessarily have to watch it from the beginning or in the correct order but it's definitely worth it. Because that way you are able to see how the characters develop from for example a young wimpy intern in a hospital, to a confident doctor with wife and kids. It's about life, death, love and friendship. We all observe it through J.Ds eyes who is the protagonist of the series and in my eyes a real hero.
twister I am one of those people who like to exaggerate when they see/ find something they like and this was one of the best occasions to do so.I don't want to give any spoilers so I will just present some of the reasons why I think everyone who knows good humor, likes smart drama and wants to watch a show because the characters are well developed should DEFINITELY give this a try. One main character, JD is a person who just started as a resident in a hospital and will have a lot of experience trying to improve himself as a doctor. He meets a lot of interesting people and you shortly find out that in fact, there are multiple main characters who are evolving and experiencing everything from love to hate in their unique way. What I found interesting is that throughout the entire show, even though it's supposed to be comedy, all the important moments are taken seriously and there is a morale attached to each of them. You can actually have your kids watching this without any issue because it never goes overboard or overdoes the jokes. All in all, except for the last season which is garbage, this show is super funny, witty, full of interesting moments that you can empathize with and actually learn a lesson and IT'S GOOD 20 minutes ENTERTAINMENT when you eat or after a rough day at work. It will put a smile on your face trust me! If not, I will give you the evil eye!
Daniel Egger Throughout the 9 seasons of fun and laughter, J.D. and his colleagues manage to surprise us over and over again: Perry's witty 'Coxian' statements, Brown Bear Turk's eccentric guy love with J.D., Elliot's hilarious insecurity blunders, the Todd's inappropriate high-fives, Carla's Dominican impulses and the janitor's stories make Scrubs a series worthwhile experiencing in full.
kevjfarrell This is a cleverly constructed sit-com. It doesn't try to be 'Friends' or anything else. If you are new to this show, it may take a few episodes for you get drawn in. But you really should make that effort.Great characters with individual flaws. Plenty of comedic moments, and also many dramatic moments too. There are also a lot of running jokes throughout the series. The Bro-mance between the two main characters is hilarious and heart-warming. As actors, they must have really got on well to be able to put in convincing performances. It's not the laugh out loud humor of 'Friends'. It is cleverly constructed humor. I also enjoyed all the narrations over many scenes. You could do a lot worse than sit through a box set of this show - especially in the winters of the northern States!!!
