When Cupid's 'love potion' causes a hangin' judge to start setting high-end criminals free, it's up to Kate and Carl to get an on-the-lam Cupid back to Chicago to reverse his potion's' effect on both the judge and a transformed Nick, whose newfound propensity for seeing the good in everyone begins to wear thin on his colleagues.

Cajoled by Nick into attending her high school reunion, Kate is forced to relive the humiliation of how she ruined her graduation 10 years earlier by taking over the ceremony and hysterically insisting that Links lived in the walls of the school. Acting as her escort to the reunion, Nick helps Kate redeem her reputation when the Links return and attempt to massacre her classmates.

A Link so monumentally evil that his name has been lost to history reappears on Halloween, the one night of the year when Links can roam with impunity. The mysterious Link is bringing the corpses of serial killers back to life so they can carry out his plan to assume leadership of all Links.

Kate and Nick are forced to release the original Chameleon that was imprisoned by the SU2 team so he will help them catch a new Chameleon who is now terrorizing Chicago. Nick is in a bad mood because the original Chameleon that has to help them killed his former lover.

A Sandman Link takes over the bodies of everyday people when they sleep and has them act out their wildest subconscious fantasies. Kate falls asleep while quarantining an area and the Sandman enters her. Kate becomes dangerous under the Sandman's attraction and the team must destroy it before it's too late for Kate.

elshikh4 The TV productions at the 2000's start were between weak and bad. Before marks like (Alias, Lost, Prison Break, Desperate Housewives, or Monk) the TV didn't have the right hit yet, which could capture the attention and the interests of the 2000s' viewer. Titles like (Relic Hunter), (Mutant X), (The Lost World), (Sheena), or even (Baywatch Hawaii) weren't encouraging for you to watch and follow, or at least weren't that captivating and interesting all the time as what preceded them. (Special Unit 2) was no exception. In fact it's Men in Black meets The X Files' spoof ! (As if these were the special unit 1). But even according to this brilliant formula; it didn't work well. It was promising; at the time there was some saturation out of the "supernatural" cases after a decade of many X files already, so the natural spirit to lampoon it naughtily too (imagine Mulder as womanizer !). However (Special Unit 2) wasn't the strongest in this, or a strong when it comes to make a comic Sci-Fi show. It was highly ridiculous, where for instance every sexy situation must turn into ugly disgusting one. It enjoyed that bad taste sickeningly. (Michael Landes) was non-charismatic and mostly unbearable as a comedian. His chemistry with (Alexondra Lee), as well as any supposed sexual attention, was all languid. Sure the show got a funny look but overall it was unfunny work. It's clear that there was nothing more interesting than its main idea. Among (Evan Katz)'s other works as a co-writer and a co-producer like (Seven Days) before or (24) later this must be a low point !. Despite the distinctive personality, it managed to be a silly jest for most of the time. Therefore if that was there goal, so they made one of the silliest indeed ! And truly, it would be one of the rarest times to be thankful for the cancellation of a show after 19 episodes of it only !

The_Rook Fun SciFi series. This is now airing on SciFi channel in the DC Metro area. Special Unit 2 is a special police unit formed to capture and contain unusual people or creatures (slang is Links) that commit crimes against humanity. They have special weapons similar to those use by M.I.B since they face an unusual variety of perpetrators (perps). Take this with an open mind and a sense of humor and you will probably enjoy it. Decent cast, directing, stories, effects, and music. This only had a short season of 19 episodes but it was a good one. Unfortunately like so many decent SciFi series it was canceled. I hope that like the short lived "Threshold" they will put this series on DVD.

dreamer2point2 Well, I was so disappointed in UPN for cancelling this show only to replace it with 2 half hour teen angst shows just like a dozen others out there. When I first saw this show I didn't think a whole lot of it. It seemed silly. However, in a very short time the characters had started to really come together and take on a life of their own. This is not something you see every day. I think the writing was top notch and the actors were able to take full advantage of it. The show got funnier and better each week.Just when O'Malley and Carl were starting to become a solid team, UPN pulled the plug. What a mistake.

monstermania I found out about the show just a few months ago, and I love it. Despite what other comments have stated, it is not Men in Black the live action series, as the subjects are links, not aliens. It is a great idea for a show that the missing links have been identified and they are on the rampage in Chicago. The chemistry is great between the leads, and anything involving Carl the gnome and his theft habits is hilarious. The sense of humor is the defining characteristic of the show, and is like nothing a sci-fi addict like me had ever seen. It is fresh and original, and the clever scripting is perfect for the show. The best episodes are the ones where the leads are under the influence of a link, and they are not themselves. It shows what great actors the producers chose for the series, as they demonstrate their amazing versatility. The effects are great, and the production is much better than some of the series on tv. Overall, this this show is a gem and should not be missed by any dedicated sci-fi fan.
