Reviews

Claudio Carvalho Today I have watched this series in cable television. It is called in Brazil by `Histories From Beyond 2', and it is hosted by Roger Daltrey. It presents four stories as follows:1) `A Change Would Do You Good' Title (Brazil): `A Mudança Vai Lhe Fazer Bem' (`The Change Will Do You Good') A rock-‘n-roll star addicted in heroin is sent by the Record representatives to a rehabilitation clinic managed by Illeana Douglas. There, he finds the successful secret of the clinic. My vote is six.2) `Daydream Believer' Title (Brazil): `Sonhando Acordada' (`Dreaming Awake')Ally Sheedy is a plane suburban housewife, having a beloved husband and a son, who plays guitar in a garage band. One day, after some frequent headaches, she starts playing her son's guitar the same way a successful rock star does. A surprising end waits for the viewers and her family. My vote is six.3) `Don't Fear the Reaper'Title (Brazil): `Não Tenha Medo da Morte' (`Do Not Be Afraid of Death') Charisma Carpenter (the Cordelia, from `Buffy' and `Angel' series) is a gothic singer of a death rock band. One day, during their concert, a fan dies and she sees the Reaper. She gets afraid of death, and closes inside her apartment fearing to die. This tale is very original and funny. My vote is eight.4) `Time Is On My Side'Title (Brazil): `Tempo Está Ao Meu Lado' (`Time Is On My Side')A loser guy is fired in his job. A friend of him takes him to a bar, owned by Pam Grier. The guy regrets the death of his rock-‘n-roll idol in 1984 to his friends. The rock star was shot and died. Pam Grier offers and injects some drug in the guy's vein and he goes home. While listening to his idol's last album, the guy travels back to the night when his idol was shot. He is not able to save him, and on the next day, he returns to the bar and asks for another shot in his vein. He is again unsuccessful in his attempt to save his idol's life. On the third time, he has a great surprise. Certainly this is the best tale, having a very surprising and ironical end. My vote is nine. Conclusion: A great entertainment, recommended for fans of "Twilight Zone". My vote in IMDB is eight. Title (Brazil): `Histórias do Além 2' (`Histories From Beyond 2')
WhiteTigerPat Very good writing and a fast pace show. It reminds me of Tale's from the Crypt with a rock edge! It has stars as well as other musicians in the cast. I make sure and watch it everytime it is on VH1(Movie that Rock!). It's really a compelling show and i'm a sucker for wicked and cool stuff. I love the stars and just love the great plots in the show. Keep up the great work VH1! Awesome to wach and out of 4 stars I give it a strong 3 1/2. Ohh by the way it's on every Saturday at 9pm central time. New must see t.v.! At least for me...
