Reviews

Jburn123 I see a lot of people writing about the actual American football side of the show.. I'm from Just outside belfast where American football generally isn't watched too much. But I assure any Non American Football watchers that this is Definitely worth a Watch!! Great characters and great comedy! It really rips on topics that a lot of American TV programmes are scared to touch. I won't give examples in case of spoilers but I hope someone reads this review and takes my advice to watch it (that will be my mission accomplished!) My favourite's in the programme are definitely Raffi (purely for shock factor and how much Craic he can be!) and Taco (for sheer stupidity laughs)And another factor that makes me love the programme is if you watch Pete and Kevin when there's a truly funny scene it is clear as day to see that they are genuinely laughing and not acting (especially Pete) don't know about you lot but It always makes a show better for me when you can see an actor enjoying it as much as the viewer
numetal_level Spoiler Alert! My brother got me into this show awhile back and at first it was hilarious but by the beginning of the 5th season I've began to lose interest in the direction the show was going in it's premise. The character Pete seems to be like this perfect smart ass who seems to go unscathed in his actions. Very rarely do I ever see him get put down a peg and the only time that I ever showed interest in his character is during the episode "12, 12, 12" where he's made a fool of by his old crush from high school, Gina Gibiatt (who was a total c*nt by the way.)And another factor that really annoyed the hell out of me was the constant torment towards Andre, by the 5th season he became the live embodiment of a human punching bag and I always felt so bad for him in the worst way. Each episode usually has a scene where everybody makes sexual innuendo jokes at Andre and Andre never notices, and if that doesn't happen, they go out of their way to make a fool out of him in some other stupid way.The other characters weren't that much better than Pete. Jenny and Kevin usually showcased how terrible parents they were, Ruxin went from being this likable a**hole to a total dick with the same jokes, and Taco always showed how his intelligence matched that of a stapler and he some how hasn't gotten himself killed or put into prison. The only character I've seemed to ever enjoy is Rafi, and he's suppose to be a disgusting pervert. All in all, the show can be so much better, but with the way things are going I don't think I have it in me to continue to watch this show...
realnasirthedon I'm so glad this show is back. It has consistently been one of my favorite series on TV for the last few years. While last season left something to be desired this season has already started off with a bang. The Draft Shows are always some of the best. The writing is so smart and there are so many payoffs for longtime viewers. The same device was used in How I Met Your Mother and it works on this show as well.I would like to have the stories focus more around fantasy football as the catalyst for the stories. That was my main complaint of last season. They got too far away from fantasy and focused more on sit com plot structures. The "Dirty Randy And Rafi" episode was one of the worst of the entire season because there was no football in it.Hopefully this season will return back to their roots and be more football oriented.Still this is one of the best shows on TV.
Joey Tarner First, If any of you have four other friends that you've known since high school and still hang out with ... Then this show is a MUST for you. It's by far the funniest show on television and should get the respect and recognition it deserves. No fantasy football experience necessary to enjoy this comedy. The cast is full of misfit friends that treat each other like S**t (especially Shedre). Its like they were meant to be together. Kevin's wife Jenny is extremely hot and kind of evens the testosterone level out. The ONLY thing out of place is Ruxin's Bro-lo Rafi ... I sure hope he's gone by the beginning of the season 3. This cast can do amazing things with comedy and I hope this one is around for a long time. Don't Patronize, Notarize!
