Reviews

mehrdadjg This is a review for the first season of this show. This is an absolutely must-see TV show. You will experience the frustration that the characters are feeling and more importantly you will feel how damaged they have become through the years. My wife burst into tears at the end of one of the episodes and she is the type of woman who does not get influenced by TV easily. Two thumbs up for the story and another two thumbs up for the way it is being delivered to the audience.Aside from the amazing story and narrative, all the actors have done a superb job of portraying their role in the fate of poor Oliver Hughes. Directing is great and the soundtracks are perfect for the mood of the show. All in all, this is a piece of masterpiece TV which you must try.I have heard the second season is even better. Will update my review once I saw the second season.
dcoopmail I loved the core story of this tale. That said , I did NOT enjoy trying to keep up with this Jiffy Pop timeline. I stuck with it for 4 episodes and on the 5th episode started having timeframes out of order WITHIN JUST the 2014 flashbacks. Dear editors... that's too much!! We shouldn't have to work so hard for your vision.
jackmac-11242 Season 1 was excellent, but Season 2 blows it away. The suspenseful story line, coupled with great acting and direction, makes this eight episode season possibly the best thing I've ever seen on my television. If you haven't seen this, I recommend you go right to Season 2 as the only connection between that and Season 1 is the character Julien Baptiste.
andy742 First review, but just finished watching Season 2.Season 1 had me rating this as a 9 out of 10, but Season 2 leaves me no choice but to bump that up to a 10 out of 10.I couldn't stop watching, episode after episode, in two sittings. 8 hours of suspense, intrigue, great acting, and a well chosen mix of languages and actors from different countries. It felt authentic and real, sadly too believable. No spoilers here, I would hate that anyone spoiled it for me. But it didn't fail to keep me glued to my TV screen. The locations were well chosen and beautifully filmed. There were some tuff moments, and I can't deny the fact that I shed a tear or two.A subject well treated and not Hollywood glam'd up.
