Peter Mckain At the end of basket case 2 Dwain has lost his marbles a little bit and stitched Belial back on after accidentally killing Granny Ruth's daughter. so it begins with Dwain in a straight jacket getting released by granny Ruth and missing his brother he runs away. Belials girlfriend has lots of kids and Dwain approaches the police for help.Is it any good? well as other reviews have stated the special effects in this movie are top notch great gore great costume design you can tell they had fun. The plot and writing are OK it's not the best but its a B movie so I can forgive it for that. A few things annoyed me, though. one the acting has gotten even worse. Dwain is terrible and you don't really care about him as a result. At one point one of the babies is crushed to death and no one cares which adds to humour I guess what really does it is the singing for me uuuurgh why did she have to sing. But you do meet Ruths son which is cool. I would recommend this purely for fans of the first 2 and people interest in the effects.

Russellw-286-881520 Basket case 3 is a horrible horrible film from start to finish. Basket case 1 was a classic 42nd street grindhouse sleazy movie, although its budget was low, the atmosphere,bloody carnage and a freaky..er freak! put this reviewer into sleaze heaven. then we got BC2, the higher budget sequel that was though not bad, missed the hardcore element of the first and added some silly looking (not creepy) freaks.Which brings us to this movie, now even Frank Hennenlotter hates this film and rarely talks about it, as i understand, his original vision was to bring it back to the more hardcore sleazy vibe of the first one but the producers hated and Hennenlotter was forced to alter the script. The result is a mess of comic campery, stupid characters and overall silliness ramped up to epic proportions! Just watch the trailer and you'll see how even a trailer couldn't save this film with putting all the best bits in..coz basically there weren't any! Horrible horrible in every way..avoid

EVOL666 The original BASKET CASE is one of my all-time favorite B-movies, and has been ever since I first saw it as a kid on cable over 20 years ago. It's grimy, low-budget style, the completely off-the-wall storyline, the cheezy but effective splatter FX- everything about the original screams underground classic. And luckily director Frank Henenlotter proved to not just be a one-trick-pony, by proving he had the skills to be a truly noteworthy cult-horror director-with other classics like BRAIN DAMAGE and FRANKENHOOKER. But unfortunately, the beloved Mr. H had to go and f!ck up his streak with retarded nonsense like the BASKET CASE sequels. I hadn't seen either of the sequels in many years- and I recall not liking either of them-but I had this one laying around and figured I'd give it another chance to see if my opinion had changed over the years. No such luck. In this third and (thank Christ) final installment in the trilogy-the action picks up directly after the events of the equally stupid second film-with Duane spending some time in a rubber-room after trying to sew him and his deformed Siamese twin brother Belial back together. The brothers are re- disconnected during Duane's incarceration-and he is eventually released. Granny Ruth (from part 2) takes Duane to a friend's house with the rest of the freak-show brood to await the birth of the spawn resulting from the union of Belial and his girlfriend Eve. When a duo of bumbling cops kill Belial's girlfriend and kidnap his 'kids'-he doesn't take it too kindly, and exacts some splattery revenge... Granted-there are a (very) few scenes in this entry that are mildly amusing-but not enough to call BASKET CASE 3 enjoyable on any level. Honestly-I found both sequels to be retarded, un-funny, and frankly, unnecessary. When the series moved into straight slap-stick territory-I completely lost interest. I still respect Henenlotter a great deal for his early contributions to the B-movie horror world-but both of these sequels just straight-up suck in my book...3/10

HumanoidOfFlesh In "Basket Case 3:The Progeny" Belial and his equally bizarre bride are about to discover the perils of parenthood.Following a wild road trip with granny Ruth and her family of freaks,the mutant Mrs.Belial delivers several ugly mini-creatures.Unfortunately the police kidnaps the little critters,which causes Belial to go on a bloody rampage...Frank Henenlotter's "Basket Case 3" is equally disgusting and amusing.It features some extremely funny moments as well as fountains of spraying grue.I can safely say that I enjoy watching Henenlotter's grotesque horror comedies and this one is also a blast.Highly recommended,especially for the fans of "Basket Case" series.8 out of 10.
