mkurland23 This film is the perfect way to cap off the career of Adam West. With the script by Michael Jelenic & James Tucker (inspired by a story by Harlan Ellison), and a supporting cast of Burt Ward, Julie Newmar & William Shatner as "Two-Face," there can be no better way to bid farewell to the Caped Crusader. At the film's end, comes this heartfelt goodbye: "Rest Well, Bright Knight." We'll never forget you, Adam. Godspeed.
Platypuschow Sequel to the 2016 adventure Return Of The Caped Crusaders this is another animated outing in the vein of the original television series complete with original cast.Adam West, Burt Ward & Julie Newmar return to reprise their roles with more goofy comedy and nostalgic charm. This time Two Face has returned and it's down to the dynamic duo to stop him. This alike the original was at a disadvantage from the get go as I'd never been a fan of the original television series. I never disliked it, I just never saw the appeal.Batman vs. Two-Face is loyal to the source material although a tad darker in places. Alike the first film this will appeal to fans of the original show but possibly them and them alone.Nostalgic, charming but highly niche. The Good:NostalgicWell madeGreat voice castThe Bad:Won't appeal to everyoneThings I Learnt From This Movie:Friends before females is the pg version of bro's before ho'sYour mother wears combat boots is a totally over the top insult!
DCfan This movie was definitely a good end to Adam West career as Batman. Like my review of The Carpeted Crusader, you don't need to be a fan of the original Adam West projects to like this movie. In fact, I am glad that they managed to get William Shatner who was never in the original to be Two-Face in this movie. The rest of the voice actors were good as well. Side Note: I think Dr. Quinnzel is hot in the movie.I am also glad they included the sound effect words whenever they punched someone. My questions still remain to be asked cheek my review from the previous one. My favorite scene is the last battle with all the villains. In fact, this movie is much better than Batman and Harley Quinn (see my review). If you are a fan of the original Batman with Adam West, Burt Ward, and Julie Newmar then this movie and the one before it is definitely for you since they also have up to date animation and technology used.
toogoodu-56389 Brilliance beyond compare! Classic Batman with all the trimmings! How could you NOT love this?!Too bad Adam West passed on, it would have been a much better fitting tribute to have a few more of these classic camp tributes to the Batman universe. But for what happiness he brought us in his work as actor and voice actor as Batman, he will live forever.I do have to say though, it baffles the heck out of me how DC/WB can be superlatively awesome in animation, and suck so very badly with the latest horrific endeavors in live action movies. I will never understand it.The other voice actors they found for the roles of those who have already passed on, again is beyond brilliant, I would swear I'm hearing the voice of the actual original actor!Lee Meriweather was a treat! I did not expect to "see" her in any of these animated resurrections! How purrfect it was to see her in Catwoman form again. As for Ms. Julie Newmar, the original, the best, the most fantastic Catwoman ever.....I never thought it possible that I could love Catwoman any more than I did, but after seeing this, I'm just in love all over again. The camp, the cheese, the wit, the cliche's, and that Batmobile! FREEKING FANTASTIC!
