adonis98-743-186503 A man tries to rescue a woman with a little help from his half brother. Beverly Hills Ninja has a talented comedic cast but the film's lack of actual good comedy and it's over the top fight scenes make for a film that works with half of a brain shell and with perfomances that are too wooden to even be taken serious, so overall a skip from me. (4/10)
kaneerj this is one of my favorite movies of all time, it is great and enjoyable, me and my brothers must have watched it once a month growing up and I watched it a few times again as an adult as well, the story was fun, it was funny all around, wish I could have seen more movies from chris farley
jts0405 Chris Farley really broke out as a leading actor in 1995 when he did Tommy Boy. After that he went on to do Black Sheep and some small movies. Beverly Hills Ninja has an original story to it. This was definitely something that nobody else would think to type out into a screenplay. At points it was pretty amusing and funny, but sometimes you just had to think that it was complete stupidity. Farley was a great comedy movie actor and this proves his working chops, but it needed a little more jazz and spice to it so it could make a 10/10. So far I have decided to give 7/10. It gave a ton of effort and had a launching pad for Chris Rock. All and all it was decent.
callanvass Beverly Hills Ninja is a funny little film, nothing overly special, but still a fun ride that I quite enjoyed. Chris Farley and Robin Shou were the main reason as they brought a lot of humor and laughs to the film, plus Farley is just so great at the physical type humor. This film gets a bad rap, but I think it's a fine little film, and sure it may be a little silly at times but that's what I liked about it, plus The scenes where Chris is practicing by himself at the Dojo are a scream!. The scenes where Chris Rock tired to grab the chickens are also a hoot, and it's just got great slapstick as well, plus I loved the whole cast as well, although the villain was kind of weak in my opinion. There are some really good fight scenes in it as well, and Robin Shou was especially good in them, plus the ending is a hoot and gave me a lot of laughs. Overall this is quite the funny film, if you put your brain in check, and I recommend it to all Comedy lovers your bound to find some enjoyment!. *** out of 5The Acting is lots of fun!. Chris Farley is very funny here, probably at his funniest, he is just awesome at physical Comedy, some of the stuff he does is just plain out crazy, he also always surprises me with his agility I just really dig his humor!. Nicollette Sheridan is pretty no doubt about that but is only OK here, in her role I never found her particularly interesting as she was just eye candy to me. Robin Shou is hilarious and just awesome here, he has great comic timing and is a wonderful martial artist I loved the guy. Nathaniel Parker is OK as the villain never that menacing and overall I found him to be pretty weak. Soon-Tek Oh is funny as the Sensei and brought class I loved him. Chris Rock is hilarious as Joey who wants to be a Ninja, I absolutely loved him!.
