I think this movie is a sweet and fun movie, I used to love this movie as a kid.

Watching recent American movies, i was getting tired of those prestigious families, full of money and careers, of this stifling violence against enemies, of this outrageous promiscuity and endless nudity
So up to now, if the adult content was however cut from, families movies were pretty indigestible (Narnias, Spiderwick,
) faraway of the excellent Labyrinth, Goonies from the 80s ! This one caught me right from the start : it's about a young boy in rural America who is alone, feeling cut from his poor family (at least, a movie about one with an admirable Patrick as always) and school fellows. He takes refuge in his artistic hobby and has a crush on his musical teacher. As she is played by Deschanel, i can understand him but beyond, this is very similar to my own life
Then he befriends her new neighbor friend (not Mary Jane but the excellent girl who played with Hillary in a supernatural thriller in the bayou) and thanks to her and her wide, limitless imagination and acceptance, he is open to life again ! He feels better with himself, his family and his friend ! I just love the way their friendship is built, stone after stone, how they face together to the bad things of their real life and how they use theirs to imagine a better world ! For one time, it feels real, there is no violence, there is not an enemy to kill taking a gun
. The two acting kids are marvelous as much the mute boy than the always happy girl ! And then, every thing will change after he makes maybe a selfish choice
So it's a bit again Peter Parker and his great responsibility but also the same pain of the very moving novel (and also movie) Walk to remember
This is as sudden, unexpected, and senseless as the real life and what happens is really done with tact, emotion, compassion
The only regret i could say is that for me, the link between reality – fantasy seems to not have been used to its maximum potential ! So it's a wonderful movie for kids and adult as well with values and tools very useful to live
I thought i concluded with a personal remembrance but i noticed that i have already done it when reviewing french Facts of life, a title that that would be also very accurate for this beautiful movie !

The Film in generally was inspiring. I guess, during its time of release, it must have been one of those films that really moves you. I can't say much, I'd rather have the viewers to really see the movie first, although I did wish there was more about Leslie's perspective so that people could see both sides of the story.On Cinematic feels, it wasn't anything spectacular, loved the designs of each characters, although it would have been better if people could see an up close shot of these (regardless of it being cgi or whatnot). The details would have made more impact. if in the future, directors or producers would plan to shoot a some- what similar story-line or movie like this, I'm rooting for more improvements. It was memorable in its own way.

Everyone probably experienced this during childhood- the uncertain border between the real and imaginary world, when the imagined world might seem you more realistic than the real one. I remember my imaginations of my childhood and I now follow my daughter creating imaginary worlds herself.Bridge to Terabithia is a marvelous movie about childhood, imagination, love and attachment.Young Jess Aarons is not very happy about his life. At home he deals with four sisters, at school he has no friends. He is a very good painter, but no one has told him about that. But one day she meets Leslie Burke- a new student in his school, a very bright and shiny girl with a charming smile and charming personality. She grew up in a very different family than Jess did. Her parents know almost everything about her life (they even know that Jess is a good painter) they encourage her to be bright and to be different. She is not only a good runner but also knows how to deal with problems at school. But most importantly she knows how to make up stories, and how to imagine. She helps Jess to do the same. Jess has the skill and they make up the story, their world together- a fascinating, beautiful world- Terabithia.Jess's little sister also can see Terabithia maybe a little bit different, with purple flowers. Terabithia is there for everyone who is a child, who has the fascinating imagination of little ones. My review was about the story. All the other things of the movie (filming, acting, etc) is good as well. But the movie is more about the story that will make you smile and maybe move you to your own Terabithia for a second.
