I'm gonna give this movie what it deserves. I know most people are saying "this sucks" or so bad and all that but it really is nothing that makes it even bad. Yes, its boring at times but its never really anything aquard or cringy. It just seemed to be an average movie with an average budget and an average set of popular hollywood actors. If I were to give it any pluses, it had aesthetically pleasing camera angles and shots and had nice characters that didn't fit into stereotypical movie roles. It did of course have a lot to work on like characters jumping to conclusions or odd character lines but other than that, thats all I can say about it.

A rap-oriented remake of "The Wild One" (1953), with heavy emphasis on the fact that Vanilla Ice has assumed the Marlon Brando role.The film was developed as a vehicle for Vanilla Ice. It has received negative reviews, and was a commercial failure, grossing only $1.2 million from a $6 million budget. Director David Kellogg primarily a director of commercials and music videos, later disowned the film. Though he went on to make "Inspector Gadget", which is no better.Interestingly, "Cool as Ice" director of photography was future "Schindler's List", "Saving Private Ryan", and "Minority Report" cinematographer Janusz Kamiński. Maybe Steven Spielberg saw something everyone else missed? In fact, this is not nearly as bad of a movie as it is made out to be. Ba, yes, but amusing in its own right. This is still better than some of the films in the "Ernest" franchise.

...the most awful film in the history of cinema.Imagine every embarrassing moment you've ever had and imagine every time you've witnessed somebody else's embarrassing moment and felt empathy for them. Imagine every humiliation; guys imagine every unintentional boner, gals imagine every spotting of white pants at the dance, imagine every drunk puking into the gutter, bad dancing, flubbed speech, insulting someone who is standing right behind you when you didn't know they were there. Picture cursing a blue streak and realizing your religious grandmother was in the next room listening, just every awful thing that makes your belly churn and your face turn red to recall. Imagine being forced to re-live it all in an instant, and then somehow you are forced to consume it and then you vomit it all back out and for 90 more minutes you are forced to wallow in that vomit, a vomit reeking of despair and chagrin, acidic with the burning wish that it had never happened...That is the experience of watching this movie. It is the stuff of some circle of Hell undiscovered before 1991. It is NOT funny.

Wow! I really don't understand the negative reviews of this movie. This movie blew my mind. First we had The Who's Tommy, then Pink Floyd's The Wall, then in the nineties we get Vanilla Ice's Cool as Ice. Go ahead and try to figure out the choices in this movie. I could spend hours talking about this film, dissecting every scene. Who are they? Where did they come from? What is their motivation? The colors alone are a feast for the eyes. I can think of no other film that better captures the essence of the nineties. And Vanilla Ice did all of his own stunts. I'm not talking about some lame fighting stunts or a jump off of 5 foot ledge. I'm talking about jumping a Japanese street bike over a fence, a horse, and a corvette. This movie is a must see. Get it now!
