keoppeljared Well for a slasher movie it delivers a great atmosphere into the genre, the film is although surprisingly scary and totally could become a cult classic in a decade, i would totally watch this film, any time this film would play i suggest this film for horror fans. It was fun exciting, and sick, although the ending did fall a bit
trashgang Looked promising and reminded me someway to Tobe Hooper's The Funhouse (1981)Dark Ride could have been so good sadly it was a pure waist of time. There's in fact nothing going on throughout the most part of this so-called horror. In the beginning when the two girls are talking about their weekend out and are having wild ideas of that particular weekend one of them shows...her bra. That done I knew that this was going to be pure trash. And it is, but in the wrong way. Some trashy flicks do offer things but the only thing that's worth seeing is the slut showing her juggs and going for giving head, in both ways. But the production doesn't do a thing with that part, giving head and being decapitated...common. The second thing only worth watching is the head being slashed in two. But overall, its' a lot of blah blah and no scary moments at all.Gore 0,5/5 Nudity 0,5/5 Effects 2/5 Story 2/5 Comedy 0/5
Joshua Kreuter Where to begin, OK easy. The gore was ridiculous and the "beheading" looked like it was planned by a third grader with no knowledge of human anatomy. The acting was bad I think, if any of them were acting and not just wandering through the picture. I believe that the middle portion of this was filmed by three different directors. Upon seeing what they had wrought all three committed suicide when they were overcome with deserved guilt. Along comes a fourth director with no conscience, probably one who makes the Disney tween shows, and he takes all three of the others' work and pastes it together. How else can one explain our "heroine" suddenly stopping and declaring she would find the others, but then abandon her friend and return to a simpering useless twit again. And the ending made absolutely no sense. Surprise who else is a killer, but then lets the girl go after she killed his brother, and after he killed a guy for facing his brother?!?
dbborroughs Jamie-Lynn Sigler stars in the story of some friends on a road trip who run afoul of an escaped mental patient who was sent away for killing several people at a haunted house ride on the Jersey shore. By the book and by the numbers story of the sort that hasn't been made in the last twenty years. With echoes to House of 1000 Corpses, Funhouse and other similarly set films this is the sort of thing that we've all seen before, assuming we've been watching horror films for an period of time. Is it bad? no not really, but its far from gripping simply because its so similar to stuff we've seen before. There are some flashes in this film of what might have been-shots small sequences or an odd twist- that signal what might have been. Worth a look on cable (it runs frequently on SCIFI) I wouldn't go out of my way to look for it. This is the weakest, or perhaps the most disappointing of the four 8 Films to Die For from the first year that I've seen.
