lukem-52760 Death Wish 5 is a very good dark Thriller & very early 90s & that's cool, BRONSON is very good & very weary as this older version of Vigilante Paul Kersey in this AWESOME 5th film in the DW franchise!!! To me Bronson got better & better with age like his BRILLIANT portrayal of Kersey in the way underrated & my favourite Death Wish 4. Bronson is great fun in this 5th film you can see he's having fun & he gets to go face to face with the best villain in the whole franchise you will see what i mean!!! As for the whole film this is a very good late night type of solid Action Thriller with a great performance by the older Bronson who can still kick ass & shoot scum!!! This is my 2nd fave Death Wish film after the BRILLIANT part 4, these two films to me show the best versions of the Kersey-Vigilante character & brings out the best of BRONSON & that's AWESOME

George Taylor Lamest of the series. Bronson is showing his age and the story is color by numbers. Boring story with very few deaths (and lets be honest, but the time we get to this one, it's the killings we want to see). It's still slightly better than Eli Roth's horrible remake of the first movie.

ivo-cobra8 Death Wish V: The Face of Death is the worst TV movie from the 90's ever made. The first 4 movies were really great I have enjoy them. Death Wish 2 get the most hate while I have enjoy that film way more than this. This is one of the first films I have ever saw. Charles Bronson should have stoped by part 4 but he decide to make the fifth one. I never liked this movie even as a child. Charles Bronson is way too old for this part. So now Paul Kersey is taking the mob are you serious? The first movie was a classic. The second movie was a revenge movie and a good one, third was an action classic my all time favorite. Fourth was about drug dealers and a good one. The first 3 movies were directed from Michael Winner and they delivered. The fourth one was really a good action film. I disagree maziun part IV was much better move than this shitty movie. The movie supposed to be set in New York but it was filmed in Toronto why was it filmed in Toronto? I have no idea. This movie is way too brutal for me for my taste. So now Michael Parks is the bad guy. Charles Bronson has a step daughter in this movie which is beyond me. The script the dialogues are terrible, the plot is confusing. How did Paul Kersey keeps getting in relationship with these girls is beyond me. How could Charles Bronson poisoned and defeat all the bad guys and the personal hitman is beyond me. He is not anymore a normal working guy who bleeds he is now unstoppable cyborg in this movie. That is my problem. J. Lee Thompson was replaced by Allan A. Goldstein by unknown director that I never hear about it. This movie is a peace shit sequel and a horrible one. Now they are making the remake with Bruce Wills and Eli Roth. The guy who directed Knock Knock another awful remake with Keanu Reeves that sucked. Remake "Death Wish" will suck I don't care if it is rated R, it will suck! This movie and story is not based on the original Brian Garfield's novel. It has nothing to do with the novel. Charles Bronson's career was pretty much dead in the 90's and he didn't make anymore more movies. This movie could have been by far worst but for some reason was a pure trash movie! 1/10 my at least favorite film in the series and Michael Parks is ugly men and sucks in here.

SnoopyStyle Paul Kersey (Charles Bronson) is in witness protection working as an architecture professor. He's dating New York fashion designer Olivia Regent (Lesley-Anne Down). The problem is that her gangster ex-husband Tommy O'Shea (Michael Parks) and father of her daughter Chelsea has pushed his way into her garment business. Tommy sends Flakes (Robert Joy) to attack her. Paul goes to DA Brian Hoyle (Saul Rubinek) for help. Police Lt. Vasquez has been trying to put away Tommy for 16 years. Tommy starts killing Olivia's workers who were cooperating with the police and the cops themselves. He kills Olivia and takes custody of Chelsea. Paul has no choice but to take on the mobster his way.The story is not bad. There are some very good actors. Michael Parks is always a good villain. However, the franchise is tired and old. The grittiness has been replaced with cheesiness. Trying to do high fashion looks silly. The biggest problem may be doing the Toronto for New York bit. It simply devalues the reality of this world. It's also a little repetitive for his girlfriends to always have problems. Charles Bronson does what he does best but there is nothing new left. Also the ending is abrupt as if they ran out of money.
