A uniquely different take on the shark genre. Insanely suspenseful and entertaining, with action from beginning to end. The helicopter crash scene during the storm must be one of the most amazing scenes!! Thomas Jane makes a credible hero and LL Cool J is effective as the comic relief. The sharks are realistically done, thus ensuring the suspense.

I have to say, that was horrible. The CGI was poor. How the shark attacked the doctor, you can tell straight away it was not made well. It was fine in the beginning and the shark look fine until they start attacking. I'd say Jaw was much better than this movie, Deep Blue Sea. I gave it a shot and it didn't turn out well. Overall I'd say, "Meh." Meaning okay and not okay at the same time. I don't recommend this movie to anyone. Don't watch it. But If you do, then go ahead

He really does. To be completely honest, LL Cool J is the only redeeming quality the movie has. "Preacher," LL Cool J's character has two traits: he delivers sassy one-liners and believes in Jesus. It may be telling of the overall quality of the movie, but LL Cool J's character was better developed and more interesting than anything else that happens. The movie wants to be Jurassic Shark very badly, but failed miserably at delivering a comparable experience to Spielberg's classic. LL Cool J survives to the end, which was very important to me.tl;dr: Movie sucks, LL Cool J blows up two sharks, and I wish I was drunk when I watched it.

First of all, why would you test a way to wipe out brain disease on SHARKS?? Secondly, what really gets me is that it's never explained how the sharks swam backward when Carter pulled his weapon out. When it's thrown out there, "That's impossible; sharks cannot swim backward!" all that comes of it is Jim's overriding encouragement to try to stay focused. At that I thought, haha "Ok..." I understand that it's explained that the tests run on them made them smarter, but intelligence doesn't have to do with inability to swim backward.
