omer_merdzanic This is best king Kong movie, ever. After 13 years this movie looks really good.
Kenyae Kofi First of all this movie was longer than both Harry Potter first movies. Some of the acting was great in this movie, but I did not like the whole savages on Skull Island were people of black/African culture that really brought the movie down for me. There were scenes in this movie where slow motion was not at all necessary. When I saw this movie I was hoping for a really good action packed, full of destruction field, but it was just boring. I did like the fight scene of the T-Rex and King Kong so I won't bash that too much, but seriously so much more could have been done with this movie.
cpowchuk I strongly disagree with the negative comments on this site. I've seen every King Kong movie ever made and this is by far the best one. I liked the story and the actors. The gorilla looks completely authentic and I've since purchased the movie and have watched it many times. It gets better each time I see it. Great job !
Pjtaylor-96-138044 The Kong stuff is convincing thanks to some excellently emotive motion-capture work and there are a number of stand-out sequences that are genuinely entertaining and well crafted to boot, but unfortunately this three-hour piece is so poorly paced and disjointed that it not only feels like three separate movies but also becomes bizarrely boring even during some of the supposedly more exciting scenes. The dialogue is also decidedly clunky at times and the green-screen work is so inconsistent that it sometimes seems as though the actors are still standing in that emerald room and staring blankly at a wall despite the spectacle around them. Ultimately, the relatively impressive visuals can't stop the fairly silly and sadly monotonous story from wearing thin. In the end, it was pacing that killed the beast. 5/10
