We decided to give it a chance but wish we didn't, good plot quite original about a carpool of strangers who dont get to their destination because of a sniper who wants to pick them off one by one.Brace yourself for the worst crying acting you have ever seen, screaming, grunting and basically annoying the hell outta you.I just wanted them all to die.

Wow! I had no expectations going into this film and what a ride! Rejoice the Asian cinema aficionados this is an Asian film with American actors. Pacing, rhythm, editing and production are all good, especially the camerawork where we get to see the sniper for the first time. I like these one location movies. It looks like a survival movie, but then the ending hammers it as a horror flick, reminding me of Haneke's Funny Games as well.I could have rated this even more favorably if the acting was better and if the story included something that connected the sniper to the victims.

Yes, not hype, but a recognition of sorts, of minimalistic storyline, and a fair amount of what you came for; horror. The sense of dread starts about the 20 minute mark in, and continues til the credits get ready to roll. Originality is subjective, but hard to find genre films of a group of 20 somethings, who run aground without use of their phones no less, and get trapped behind their impaired vehicle for the better part of 90 minutes by an unknown. The "unknown" being a sadistic sniper. Not a spoiler, but it's pretty much known going in, trailer and all.It picks up a head of steam...tapers off for an act, and the final act is over the top....Gore *Check*, Suspense *Check*, Tension *Check*, Release **Yep*There is no rhyme or reason, just carnage and exploitive violence and it's a script/plot that is scaled back of information and depth, and it's not afraid to be just that...and that's where you check your brains and just enjoy the ride.
