This is a tight, absolutely factual, utterly engrossing expose of the failings of modern democracy in regard to the legalization of Cannabis.Ignore the campaign against this film on IMDb. That there are agents working against it's message shows it's potential to open the public's eyes to an actual human truth. While framed around the story of Cannabis Legalization and it's obstacles in New Zealand, this is a global story which must be told.I encourage you all to watch, spread the word, activate your lives toward legalizing Cannabis and Criminalizing Alcohol (if only!!!) and to publicly heralding this documentary to the heights of praise it deserves.

My friends who are pot heads recommended this film to explain why I shouldn't look down on their pot use when I drink alcohol and after seeing this documentary I have to admit I was wrong about a long of assumptions I had been making when it comes to drug use. I had no idea alcohol was so harmful. When the film shows the comparisons between the drugs harms so graphically you really do stop and ask yourself what's going on here? Surely if they legalise cannabis we'd have a lot less drinking deaths and carnage and a lot more revenue? This is one film that has got to be watched by middle New Zealand, they have to know the truth!! Well done! Easy ten stars!

Although I have no dog in this race, not being one who partakes in marijuana, I still have to say (as one who believes that dissension is the highest from of patriotism) that this film should be on every NZ TV channel instead as a general lesson to the sheeple of this country that they can stand up for themselves and stand up on issues of justice like these film makers do. Taking a position against the backward police and the political establishment is an act of heroism. The film targets the bloatedness of both with pinpoint accuracy. I can't overstate the importance of this, in a time when our rights are being systematically overrun by the overreach of police and state. Watch this film!!

The film sheds much-needed light on cannabis prohibition, from its murky origins over the past hundred years, through to its current disintegration. An all-star cast delivers the blunt truth on a fascinating subject, spanning multiple countries and offering fresh angles and information untouched by similar documentary efforts.Breaking away from the talking heads format of the genre to a scenes of alcohol-fueled street riots, dozens of original-footage cannabis arrests and SWAT team raids, and historical pieces covering everything from Mother Mary Joseph Aubert's establishment of New Zealand's cannabis industry in 1883, to Richard Nixon's appointment of Elvis Presley into the Federal Bureau of Narcotics, the film spins a tightly woven narrative that keeps a brisk pace throughout.Written as New Zealand's answer to The Union: The Business Behind Getting High, the film delivers on its promise to clear the smoke around the forbidden cannabis plant.
