nathalie_chapron It's so bad that I destroyed the DVDs after watching it ! And yes, I forced myself to watch and listen to it until the end, because I never would condemn something without seeing it. No acting to speak of, no script, nothing ! After this, not only will I avoid this director and actors (or so called !)like the pest at any time, but I won't rely on IMDb ratings because this is really in the top 5 worst things I have seen in my life ! I would not even call it a film. If you want a good gay film, watch Queer as Folks (UK or US), beautiful things, Maurice, my beautiful launderette... (there is no shortage of them !).... but not this kind of c...p !!!
nolirizali-1 This is a truly remarkable, very funny & yet sensitive movie. Ryan Carnes (Marc) and Scott Lunsford (Caleb) gave the best performance among the cast. Both were so natural on their acting abilities that it didn't surprise me when I heard that this movie won multiple awards.Scott Lunsford created a perfect fit for this character "Caleb" as a reluctant straight guy pretending to be gay so that he can bed down this girl named Gwen(played by Emily Stiles) that he likes who happened to be the best friend and roommate of Marc (Ryan Carnes) who's gay and attracted to Caleb. It's a perfect love triangle so to speak.Emily Stiles did a very good job too playing the role of a fag hug who speaks her mind. The only disappointment to this movie was the acting of Jim Verraros who played the role of Kyle. He may be a good singer but his acting ability apparently shows that he's quite an amateur.Nonetheless, the movie was directed really well. It's truly remarkable that they cast 2 lead actors such as Lunsford and Carnes who are not just good actors but very good looking too. Carnes' acting was worth an academy award while Lunsford's stunning good looks, perfect body shape and dazzling, seductive eyes are total turn ON!!!
Kevin41890 I thought this movie was okay. The whole story revolves around a straight guy who pretends he is gay in order to hook up with this girl by going out with the girl's gay best friend. The plot was pretty detailed, but in the end things just were not as exciting as expected. The acting wasn't that good either. Marc(Ryan Carnes) was probably the best actor in the movie. The movie is more of a romance and holds minimal comical figures (the straight guys ex-girlfriend is definitely one of them). There are some "hot" moments were some interesting things happen between a few guys. I don't want to give anything great away, but there are some really good scenes. Besides some reoccurring dullness, there are plenty of entertaining moments that will keep you entertained.
seanybobo Watch the length of Caleb's sideburns in the scene with him and Kyle sitting on the bed. Caleb's sideburns appear to alter from long and pointed, to short and square sideburns several times during this scene. To me, it indicates that extra footage needed to be re-shot at a later date. The Australian DVD contains the male full frontal scene discussed on this website by others. It is brief but both actors are seen nude before they get dressed. Good movie with some funny lines but the ending is uncomfortable and the male "hook up" at the end is silly.
