This is the best low budget movie ever made. Not only does it have a good story and decent acting, they successfully use darkness and tight shots to hide the fact that there is no set. The frog people are surprisingly realistic too. See it.

The story: Roddy Piper is the last sexually potent man on earth and the now female-dominated military has to drive him into a post-holocaust wasteland to impregnate fertile women. Really. Not making this up.There is actually a halfway decent B-movie script here. Unfortunately the 'actors' in this movie don't do it justice with their mostly amateurish performances. Cec Verrell is spot on as a bad girl soldier, but Sandahl Bergman is a better dancer than an actress and rassler Roddy Piper is from the bargain basement of action stars. Also, the budget for vehicles and stunt drivers must have been very low, resulting in some not very exciting two vehicle or one-vehicle-chasing-a-pedestrian (!) chase scenes. Road Warrior this isn't. Some pretty good makeup effects were employed, and so the denizens of Frogtown look pretty good, and there are some genuine laughs in the dialogue. But low expectations are a must for anyone looking for a good time here.

One of the coolest B-Movies ever made, Hell Comes to Frogtown should be on the list of any post-apocalyptic movie fan.No, this movie has nothing to do with France, shame on you for thinking that. Frogtown is about Sam Hell, played by "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, who is a super virile man in a post-apocalyptic world where women rule, mutant frog people terrorize the wasteland and fertile men are like gold. The Fantastic Sandahl Bergman, of Conan The Barbarian fame, plays a special agent assigned to keep Sam Hell and his family jewels safe as he ventures to Frogtown, a city ruled by the frog people in order to save a group of extremely fertile women from the frogs ruler and his right hand...frog Commander Toty. This movie pacts humor, action, sexy women and sometimes sexy frog women all into one enjoyable film. It's worth it to see "Rowdy" Roddy Piper kick frog butt while traveling around in a pink armored car. This movie is for any action movie fan who has a wacky side.

I was first introduced to this movie by my dad after watching They Live. He told me that Hell Comes to Frogtown was another good Piper movie. Boy was he right! This movie had magic to it. I mean, any dude would love to have the task of trying to impregnate fertile women in order to re-populate humankind right? Hot Rod was great in his role as Sam Hell. It was entertaining with good humor and when the fighting occurs, it pays things off nicely. Well written script makes for a fun b-movie. To quote Roddy Piper in what was his final Piper's Pit in 1987 (of course he'd be back in 89): "When I was well I was hell man." He sure did well as Sam Hell in this one!
