KUDA KE LIYE is not a movie you see often,especially from the cinema which was on the verge of being shut down at the time it came out.To be honest it liberated the Pakistani cinema from vulgar culture and gave it a new life.It had all the ingredients to win an Oscar for best foreign language film and i don't know why it was not sent for Oscar race.The awards it won at several festivals i am sure it would have got attention.The story is very powerful.It tells no matter how liberal we become,we are blind when it comes to the religion,how are we sold at the name of religion.Acting is top notch.Shaan has proved why he is one of the finest actor of our generation.Iman Ali and Fawad Khan has also done a marvelous job and delivered career defining performances.Last but not least,the whole credit goes to Shoaib Mansoor.He has once proved his genius and has done excellent job as a director and as a writer.He has produced a movie every Pakistani can be proud of.

Everything is awesome acting, music, screen play, dialogues, cinematography, and last but not least direction... Hats off to Shoaib Mansoor for giving the gift of hope to the whole nation. The try alone would have made me give this movie a maximum rating. What has been achieved cannot be accredited by 5 stars. The rating should be something like 10 out of 5. Rather than reading this review, you should be investing your time in watching this movie right away at the cinema. Watching once, wont be enough. Watch it again and again.Hats off to Shoaib Mansoor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Khuda Ke Liye is like an eye opener of sorts for many people(across various religions and continents).I saw this movie a fortnight ago and since then the movie is revolving at the back of my mind. It has left such an impression that no movie has done till date. Cinema is an art which mirrors the society as it is. Being an Indian, after watching this movie, I understood a lot about Pakistan and the culture there. The movie depicts the story of two brothers from Lahore, whose lives are catapulted through circumstances.Mansoor is the elder brother, who is studying music in Chicago and is a victim of the haters of Muslim community, thinking that every Muslim is a terrorist. Sarmad, the younger one is influenced by an orthodox Mulla to follow Islam like the QURAN says, by growing beard, dressing in huliya and stuff..The movie features a performance by Naseerudin Shah in the role Maulana Wali, who explains Islam as a religion and what a true Muslim should do instead of killing each other in the name if Jihad.This movie is a must watch for every Muslim, as it can show the correct path to all the confused Muslim youth..Also this movie is a must watch for every Indian, as this would change our perspective towards the Pakistani society. Also every westerner should watch this film before concluding that every Muslim is a terrorist. In short, this film is so huge on humanitarian grounds, that no film ever can reach the heights that this has reached.Khuda ke liye(For God's sake)..do not miss Khuda ke liye.

this is a great movie. but unfortunately some fans have no other way to appreciate this great movie other than comparing it with movies from India and calling Indian Cinema as "crap from across the border". Whoever wrote is the dumbest and most ignorant film critic ever. But that apart let me talk about a few others who think this is a triumph of Pakistan over India. The Muslim rulers of India during the Sultanate and Mughal periods were not common men and Muslims and Hindus were there subjects alike for all those years. All common men of Pakistan did not rule India for 1000 yrs. If some dumb ass says that then it also means that Indian Hindus ruled the landmass that is Pakistan for the rest of the 5000 yrs which is the age of Indian Civiilization. I would also like to point to the song based on the Tilak Kamod Raag: "Neer Bharan" it is essentially about the love and frolic of Lord Krishna and Radhika. In the movie a Muslim guy from Pakistan sings the song. My point here is not to prove the triumph of India or Hinduism...it is simply that India and Pakistan are simply part of a larger whole...we are the same people...what is ours we are ready to share...and we in India are ready to see similar behavior from across the border...respect, love and friendship alone can heal the damage that has been done on both sides...so let us not term each other as from "across the border" at least when talking about art and creativity. It really undermines such great works. I hope all will realize this.
