guil fisher Horrible film and certainly bad acting. Stupidity seems to be the theme in this film. Stupid caretaker who seemed empty headed when everything was falling around her. Not a clue. And always talking like an Evangelist. The unsuspecting sister stupid not to know from behavior of the psycho sister that trouble was on the way. The father, played by William Moses, not able to tell the bitch off. That leaves the psycho, over played by someone named Giles. Walking around snarling at everyone, clueless of her intentions, in low cut blouses pushing her breasts in your face. Overly made up, you want to wipe the stuff off her face and clean her up. And mostly you cannot wait for her up pence. It's a good LMN movie because of the stupid script and bad acting. Like something so bad you can't put it down. You hate yourself afterwords for even watching it. My vote is zero for this is truly one of the worst films LMN has offered in a long time. And Giles - these other viewers must be blind and deaf to think she deserves any mention at all. Folks, are we watching the same trashy film?
wes-connors After she is fired for stealing money from the cash register, voluptuous waitress Elizabeth Gillies (as Calista "Callie" Ross) leaves Independence, Missouri to live with her wealthy father in Philadelphia. Previously, he had Ms. Gillies institutionalized. She blamed daddy William R. Moses (as George A. Ross) for the death of her mother, after which Gillies began cutting herself. Returning home, Gillies learns Mr. Moses has suffered a stroke and is confined to his bed, unable to speak. Gillies decides to take revenge on her millionaire father and overcome the fact that he has disinherited her. One obstacle is dutiful housekeeper Cynthia Stevenson (as Emma Granger), who has become very close to her employer. Another problem arrives in the form of muscular "bad boy" Sebastian Pigott (as Jacob "Jake" Walkins), who wants a piece of the action. Tightly-dressed and fond of the low-cut look, Gillies is an attractive and engaging vixen. She reaches all the right notes as a sexy "Lifetime" TV Movie psycho, without getting too hammy. We almost forget Moses is a multi-millionaire with no facilitated communication. He has great facial and eye movement, but is unable to give any indication something is wrong.***** Killing Daddy (7/5/14) Curtis Crawford ~ Elizabeth Gillies, Cynthia Stevenson, Sebastian Pigott, William R. Moses
Jelly Blossom Killing Daddy is no question my favorite Lifetime movie ever. The intense, dramatic story and the brilliant acting of main character Liz Gillies make this one very special. I love how from the beginning you can see how disturbed main character Callie is, she really is crazy, yet you also fully understand why she feels the way she does about her family. The story is completely about how Callie tries to get revenge on her father and there are whole scenes were she is the only one, I think Callie is in 99% of the scenes. This is very well done by Liz Gillies, who does an extreme good job, very impressive. The end is quite sad, as can be expected from a Lifetime movie but it's yet more prove of Liz Gillies talent that she makes you wish things would have ended better for Callie.
Frederique14 Killing Daddy is an intense drama about a young girl, Callie, with deep psychological problems who wants revenge for what her father did to her and her mother. It's a beautiful, intense and also a sad story, well written and very well performed. Callie is played by Elizabeth Gillies and she really has done an amazing job. It's really impressive how she manages to play a very disturbed girl in a way that makes you relate to her and feel with her. This lifts this what otherwise would be a typical lifetime movie to a different level. Gillies is able to make Callie a versatile character both strong and vulnerable, and this makes it to me her best movie so far. It shows her potential to become a very big star in the future, no doubt about that.
