pattyp-725-58249 How anyone rated this more than 1 is beyond me. Hamfisted Christian persecution complex propaganda. They would have had to make a strong effort to make it worse.Seriously? Anyone who gave this a 2 or more, have you seen a movie before?Embarrassing for Christians, infuriating for the sane.I'd rather have a sulfuric acid enema than watch this again.I'd rather watch a soccer match than watch this again.I'd rather have my appendage slammed between two biology textbooks than watch this again.
bianaryabyss This movie is a fantastic way to start or continue conversations with your kids about what it means to be an American and those things that make us Americans, those things that have made us special among all the nations of the earth. Additionally, It points out what citizenship is, and how community is built and kept. There are leadership lessons and other good life lessons. Anybody remember The Waltons or Little House, and the subtle lessons we learned about life and how to deal with the adversity that will inevitably be part of every life. Today much of what is on TV is a race to the bottom displaying the worst of humanity. In that sea of smut this is something the whole family will enjoy.
albailey-48850 I was so inspired by this movie that I'm endorsing it on my FB page and encouraging all my friends and my church family to see this movie. My heart was broken for my lack of courage to stand up for a God that loves me and a country that is free. We as Christians have stood back long enough and now is the time for us to stand up for what is right and Biblical. We have let our children suffer because we have been afraid to stand against the opposition. Well, no longer. It shows that one person can make a difference and I plan to be that one person. I tired of seeing our country being degraded by ungodly leadership and our children being taught that it is okay to accept those things that aren't Biblical. Kudos to the writer of this film. Loved it very much. The acting was great, and the story line was awesome.
Katie King When I found this movie I was a little Apprehensive unsure of its content but it turned out to be a amazing inspiring movie that touched my spirit, heart and mind and brought to thought A Talk by President Thomas S Monson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints which he gave to the brethren of the Church in which he described his first Sunday at boot camp. " I shall ever remember when Sunday rolled around after the first week. We received welcome news from the chief petty officer. Standing at attention on the drill ground in a brisk California breeze, we heard his command: "Today everybody goes to church—everybody, that is, except for me. I am going to relax!" Then he shouted, "All of you Catholics, you meet in Camp Decatur—and don't come back until three o'clock. Forward, march!" A rather sizeable contingent moved out. Then he barked out his next command: "Those of you who are Jewish, you meet in Camp Henry—and don't come back until three o'clock. Forward, march!" A somewhat smaller contingent marched out. Then he said, "The rest of you Protestants, you meet in the theaters at Camp Farragut—and don't come back until three o'clock. Forward, march!"Instantly there flashed through my mind the thought, "Monson, you are not a Catholic; you are not a Jew; you are not a Protestant. You are a Mormon, so you just stand here!" I can assure you that I felt completely alone. Courageous and determined, yes—but alone. And then I heard the sweetest words I ever heard that chief petty officer utter. He looked in my direction and asked, "And just what do you guys call yourselves?" Until that very moment I had not realized that anyone was standing beside me or behind me on the drill ground. Almost in unison, each of us replied, "Mormons!" It is difficult to describe the joy that filled my heart as I turned around and saw a handful of other sailors. The chief petty officer scratched his head in an expression of puzzlement but finally said, "Well, you guys go find somewhere to meet. And don't come back until three o'clock. Forward, march!"As we marched away, I thought of the words of a rhyme I had learned in Primary years before:Dare to be a Mormon; Dare to stand alone. Dare to have a purpose firm; Dare to make it known."
