mjsreg If you are looking for a light, easy, and funny film then this should hit the spot.I don't know why there are so many low ratings for this - it is what it is. The acting is brilliant and the characters are believable and brought to live by brilliant acting.I haven't seen the original with Goldie Hawn so wasn't comparing - just enjoying a light and funny movie.

MichaelMRamey I had no expectations for this film going into it, in fact I didn't want to watch it but someone else chose it for movie night. I was just happy to watch because I like Anna Faris. However it turned out to be better than expected. I'm sure many people are giving it bad reviews because they're comparing it to the original, but for a romantic comedy, not bad.

liscandal As a huge fan of the original movie and a Latina, I really loved this version. I can understand some reviews about the two main characters not having chemistry. At first it was uncomfortable watching but they definitely grew on me. Most of the bad reviews are people who hate remakes and "Hollywood this" and "Hollywood that". In my opinion that really has nothing to do with the movie and the content. I really enjoyed this movie!

djfrost-46786 This movie in the theaters was a 3.8. Felt like why would you tempt to remake a classic??. Then when it came out on DVD it jumped to 5.4. The trailer look ok, so I was like I'll give it a shot. It was like a Hallmark movie from the Hallmark channel. Maybe it's for the ladies. It was ok to not good. It had its moments were it was cute.
