say well the real worry is not the depraved man in this film going about killing innocents..this happens in real life already....the real sad thing is the people who have voted this to 9s and 10s...and loving this pathetic movie....with real life being worse than fiction these days, and the cam kind of shaky movie AND the ability to fast forward the rubbish areas...which was most of it..i managed to keep the emotions out of it....the twist at the end where another man is framed was the only interesting bit in this film..it was awful to take this movie..it is more awful that many like it..not just 3 or 5, but absolute 9s...they are the ones who may like to shoot and kill on video games as well...frustrated and wanting to vent their feelings somehow..i hope such films do not influence sleepers! ..dont directors feel such responsibilities to wards societies??
Jerghal So a guy goes on a rampage and shoots everyone in sight. That part was kinda fun. But why did he do it? The first 20 minutes should give you an insight into the psyche of this maniac...oh, wait it's an Uwe Boll film, so the first 20 minutes the guy goes to fast food restaurants and nags about the cream on his café laté in the local coffee bar and does nothing else of interest. The camera work consists of the most shaky/wobbly hand-held shots I've seen since the Blair Witch project (that was actually a lot better). The camera operator must have come drunk to work each day is my guess. If there was music I did not notice or remember it. The acting is not good. The was actually no script but just a 10 page outline and the rest was improvised on set. And you can tell, coz the actors are blabbering over each others lines which Uwe must have thought made it more natural but it just becomes chaotic and irritating. The lead actor is a (small) dork who has a very stupid looking face (it's true, not kidding). The editing is not great (it uses lots of jump cuts but that's good, it keeps the film short) but the movie is fairly linear so it's hard to mess that up right. All in all not a terrible movie but it could have been much better with a capable director, decent actors and a well fleshed out script. Better next time Uwe!
boutek 85 minutes of boredom guaranteed when watching this. I know very little about the director except that he is known for making under average movies. Well this one certainly falls into that category. Story is very simple and basic (something 10 year old would come up with), acting is poor and it just doesn't have any appeal whatsoever. There's not much to say about this film because there is not much happening. And what is happening? A boy builds an armour, orders some guns and goes for rampage and that's it! no really that is it. There's no other story to it, there's hardly any emotions. I couldn't care less about any characters, so people getting massacred didn't really upset me because how bad the film was. Stay away from it, it's not even funny bad it's just distasteful and boring.
Floated2 Rampage is another film from Uwe Boll (which is considered one of his only good films). Having seeing the film, I can say that I am not surprised at what I have seen, having reading several different reviews praising the film. Rampage is really a one man show starring Brendan Fletcher. He gives a subtle, quietly violent performance that is better than the material he is given so good for him. I think there is purposely a B-Movie element, a Grindhouse purpose behind this blood soaked film and if that was what Boll had in mind than the cast is ace.Rampage is a punch in the face, and the rampage itself is gratuitous with Boll shooting his subject in Cinéma vérité style(in other words, the camera shakes with Boll opting for the steadicam method). There were some key noticeable scenes, including Bill aiming fire and taking out many women in a beauty salon, one where he does the same in a Bingo parlor, and Bil getting revenge on a coffee store clerk who gave him the wrong order earlier in the film (really great scene). Overall, Rampage is predictable but has some moments, and I think it works because it isn't too long (only 85 minutes) so it doesn't feel like it drags on (such as Boll's In the Name of the King 1), and it isn't relied on bad costumes and visuals. We have noticed that Uwe Boll has a Rampage 2 set up later in the year, so we can find out if that happens to be a fluke.
