David Travis If you're a Communist or Neo-Nazi this film is not for you.If you're an American wondering why generational poverty is so pervasive in the American black community this film will shed some light on how we got here. It explores why so many American blacks continue to feel they are victims and why they remain unable to break out of the poverty brought upon them by the government programs designed to help them, and why there's nearly unanimous support of the Progressive people and programs which seem intended on destroying them.If you're looking to inform yourself or others about who really supported civil rights from the Civil War to the 1960s, there are also some good Historical notes and perspectives provided throughout. It was also nice to see proud, hopeful Americans willing to look beyond the troubles of the past towards a better tomorrow. It's bit slow in places and a bit flashy with unnecessary editing, but valuable for the facts offered and for the perspectives given, even if you don't agree with C.L. Bryant or others appearing.
bayou_ratt_283 First off, it's obvious that Liane Blanco hasn't watched this. It's ironic that they use the word "VOMIT" in the review when all they did was regurgitate the information listed about the movie. Second, It's fairly clear that zxzx4 hasn't watched this either and it's almost comical that they say it's "insulting to minorities" when the vast majority of the opinions and facts are offered by blacks. Are you saying that they are insulting themselves? Regardless, based on your review, you didn't watch this. As far as PezzHead232's review, do you not see the lack of logic to complain about who funded this yet you don't seem to care about who funded the anti Koch Bros propaganda you're talking about? Talk about a lack of intellectual honesty. This film is about the destruction of the black family in America since the 1960's that has been perpetrated by the progressives in a small part by the republican party but mainly in the democrat party. It is very informative and taps some of the greatest conservative black minds this country has to offer. If anyone has a clue as to what is going on in black America, it's CL Bryant. This film discusses what is wrong in the black community and how it can be changed and is definitely worth watching. I rated this a 9 out of 10 because I feel it could have done without some of the filler cinematography and still made it's point.
Lynnsmobile1 One of the most important movies of the last 50 years. Thank You Rev C.L.Bryant and all involved - for this amazing documentary. Your bravery and leadership is so needed and so very important. I had tears in my eyes through the whole thing. The truth is powerful. I am so inspired by the leaders who appear in this documentary. Praise the Lord for those who find a way to break away from whatever darkness pervades the conditions of their birth and seek the light. Peer pressure is such a powerful thing, it takes a special mind to see beyond it. Those who condemn this movie are trapped in a spiral and don't realize they are being pulled down. Freedom is not just something we enjoy by the grace and wisdom of our Founding Fathers, it is a state of mind. Thank You again! I am blown away.
zxzx4 If you know nothing about this movie but get it because the cover suggests some inspiring film about a slave making an escape from true, historical slavery, look more closely. The "cast" includes these notable Hollywood stars: Andrew Breitbart, Allen West, Glenn Beck, and Herman Cain, as well as a number of Tea Party luminaries. This film has been struggling to find an audience, even with massive giveaways of free tickets. It is slickly produced, but also insulting in its arguments, insulting to minorities, and transparently biased against almost all social welfare in this country. However, if you are interested in watching almost two hours of a right wing polemic which is little more than a vastly extended version of a campaign ad, this is the movie for you.
