thom_osburn Shot in and around Northlake Mall in the Atlanta suburb Tucker (a low rent mall here if there ever was one). I was working in the Macys office above the mall store and never noticed that they had filmed anything there! Wonder if they got it all in "first takes" as it sure looks that way.Ms Severance does the femme fatale thing well but she's so thin here that she looks emaciated - and her breast augmentation looks weird from the sides when she's topless and sitting on her co-star.The scene between the two kids in the food court they look like they're reading off cue cards. This film just feels rushed.
serfanian I don't know why the previous commenter didn't like it, but then again, he has not seen Backlash and Contract Killers. Those films were awful given their $300k budget, this one did draw me in to the character's desires and actions. It is not the best shot film, but the want of Lisa is clear, and she plays it on the edge. The conflict needed more development, the climax is not that suspenseful, but I liked Joan's acting she pulled it off, given the low low budget production that it had.Given the look of the film, and the poor sound, the best part was the she was in to her role and Corben's character was against his type, which worked well for me. In fact, I liked his character. He always plays these over the top but this time he was believably low key. I'd like to have him in my project, and this role was well done.I didn't expect any thing from this film and thus it worked well for me. As long as I was emotionally pulled in to the character's desires, I would say that the film worked, and so did this.
charlytully The fact that the cop in SEX & CONSEQUENCES (aka LAST SUNSET) is named "John Wayne" is only the first hint that something is terribly wrong with the producers of this flick. That name would be okay, perhaps, for a police satire along the lines of NAKED GUN, POLICE ACADEMY or RENO 9-1-1; however, S&C styles itself as an erotic thriller. Poor Joan Severance can offer only sex that makes you cringe here, and Rodney Scott is implausibly miscast as a tattooed 18-year-old weeks out of high school who unconvincingly gets invited into her bed.Police Sgt. John Wayne, the balding base of this love triangle, does nothing more exciting than to eat a donut before barging into a steakhouse with drawn gun and obliging his ditzy wife's suicide-by-cop death wish before spreading his own brains over strangers' T-bones. Besides a lame plot, wooden acting, insipid dialog, and a sunset framing device which is absent-mindedly buried by the exploitive name change, the only cast or crew member commendable is police technical adviser Sean Hanse, who got "John Wayne's" sunglasses spot on.
