what might have been a brilliant series of short clips on funnyjunk or youtube, this film (and i use the term loosely here) is a complete waste of your time. any laughs that can be found in this film are all condensed down into the 2 minute trailer. watching the full hour and a half film will leave you disappointed and with an awful taste in your mouth. while the movie is studded with very capable actors (steve zahn and jonah hill) the characters they play are entirely forgettable, the plot is utterly pointless, the gags are not only cheap but unfunny the majority of the time. seriously, your time is better spent just watching the shark scene from this movie on youtube for 187 minutes than the actual film.

I absolutely love this movie. It's is stupid, don't get me wrong, but somehow I enjoyed it so much it didn't seem to matter. I laughed the entire way through. I can't really explain it, it sucks, but it's phenomenally awesome all at once. I love it. If you like to laugh, you should give this film a watch! Honestly, I've seen it so many times, and I laugh super hard every single time. Plot wise, it's basically a crew of a TV network is trying to save their show, 'Strange Wilderness'. They are going to try to find Bigfoot. That, basically, is the whole plot. Not a whole lot there. I think, for me at least, that I adore this movie for it's pure stupidity. That may turn some people off from it, but just loosen up and just expect to laugh.

Strange Wilderness is fantastic for the fact that it is completely unfunny. I mean, I never laughed once during this movie. It's incredible. Not once. It tried, I'll give it that much. It certainly tried. Throughout the entire movie, though, you had to find the joke. Either that, or they would play a joke (that didn't make us laugh the first time) about 4 times over in succession (didn't they ever hear about the rule of 3 in comedy?). Totally unfunny. I never laughed once during this movie. Which amazes me. I usually laugh at *something* during a terribly done comedy (though more often than not it's at how stupid the movie is). I mean, that's pretty much it, really. For the most part it was just mediocre, but what makes it god-awful is the fact that succeeds at making the audience laugh 0% of the time.2/10

I saw Strange Wilderness a few years ago. All the reviews I read for the movie were terrible and when I went to IMDb, I didn't expect much to change. Personally I had never laughed so hard at movie in my life. "Strange Wilderness reminded me of the movie "Airplane", which was just as stupid, but you ended up laughing yourself silly. Now for those who loved the movie "The Hangover", I'm sure you this movie just as funny. Steve Zahn and his band of idiots kept you rolling throughout their trek to find Big Foot. Strange Wilderness is one of those movie you can have a blast watching with friends(the crazy ones that will get you locked up). It's no surprise that "Strange Wilderness" didn't receive any Oscars. I did think it was worthy of better reviews. When it comes to Comedies I have to put the movie in my "all time top 20". If you are a serious movie critic, there really is no point in wasting your time viewing. Now for those who aren't so serious about their movies, "Strange Wilderness" is a definite must see!
