Or is it "preserve"? Don't see this awful, straight-to-Disney-Channel-movie, or you will be shouting in pain when it is over. Now, I will take you behind the minds of the writers:I can just see some guys in a room, coffee in hand, thinking of something to put in this movie. BRAINSTORMER 1 What characters should we use?The Irish-American "duh?" generation teen. The token black kid (no racist comment intended - I took that statement from the front cover of some movie I saw at the rental store!). Your stereotypical Irish Grandfather. (Aye!) Hokey effects and a dumb plot thought of in a five minute brainstorming session.With that in mind, you've got the outline for the film. Next, let's think what the writers were thinking of in mind of a director:McG Steven Spielberg Steven Seagal The Wachowski Brothers Someone With No Talent (Well, That Negatives McG and Seagal!) Someone With Talent (That negatives the rest)So what are we left with? NO ONE, which is who I would think WAS behind this movie. No one. That's how awful it is.This is low 100 material, I'm telling you. All it needs is 600 votes....1/5 stars -John Ulmer

I'm Irish. REALLY Irish, as in, I was born here and live here. And I really didn't like this film. Ryan Merriman is not a bad actor (he did better in some of the other stuff I've seen him in), but sadly, he is the only person I can say that about in this film. The rest are not very good at all (massive understatement!)Then there were the accents. I couldn't bear to listen to them. There are many US actors - Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Angelica Huston, Shawn Hatosy and even Tom and Nicole - who have been able to make a decent - if not perfect - attempt at an Irish accent. I cringed listening to some of the "actors" in this film trying to pull one off. I would advise them to get the genuine articles in to do it properly, but I honestly doubt there was a single Irish-born person involved in this tragic bit of film-making. If there were, they have just disgraced their heritage. There are many inadequacies in this film regarding the true Irish culture, but this was the main one - accents! Woeful!However, the Irish music and dance, for the most part, was pleasant enough. As a traditional Irish musician, I was surprised and pleased to hear some tunes I learned when I was younger. Sadly, the occasional reel or jig was not enough to save this. Some research into the field would not have gone to waste.You really shouldn't watch it. It's awful, it really is.

This movie was horrible. The story line is pure cheese. I feel embarrassed for the actors. How does anyone let movies like this get made? Read the plot summary-- that should be the reason to not watch this movie. It's full of stereotypes. Then again, what do you expect? It's Disney...

Honestly this movie was not that good. I had looked foward to watching it, but was highly disapointed. It's kind of stupid, his friends act so casual when he shrinks, and grows leprechaun ears! I mean come on, the mom is 5 inches tall and friend just acts like. "Is that you?" I would only give this movie about 3/10 stars.
