Reviews

Kayla Renee West I recommend this show to anyone and everyone. The day to day battles they face are beyond compelling. A heartfelt show about trial and error, success and failure, and triumph and glory. The cast of this show was perfectly put together. I love seeing each and every actor and actress pore their heart and soul into each episode, for seven seasons straight. When I watched this I felt like I was there in the show with them. Being military I know the stresses of the job. It is physically, mentally, and emotionally demanding in all aspects of life. It can tear people apart. It's not easy and for those in the military I highly recommend this show for you and your spouses.
DanRem1221 I'm a guy and I'll be honest: I DID NOT think I would like this show. I was bored one day browsing on Netflix and ran across this show. Being a Veteran myself, I decided to watch it just out of curiosity. All I can say is: WOW what an incredible show. I don't even care if it's considered a chick flick. The show is so realistic with how it displays the Army life. Even having been in the Army, I didn't realize that the wives/caregivers had to do almost as much as we had to. The way this show brings up the emotions is incredible. The emotions never feel forced like how some actors are when they have to cry. This seems all too natural. I definitely recommend to anyone, but especially if you were or are in the Army. Check it out.
goog49 I watched some of it. Typical of Lifetime movies and series', the women are the heroic, set-upon victims. Virtually every dialog involved either women bonding, or men failing to understand some problem encountered by a woman. It's simple. The men (and, for the sake of fairness, some women) get to be soldiers and make grand, bold sacrifices somewhere off-camera. In the meantime, the women, the ones left behind, are the ones with the real problems. Viewed from this framework, it is entirely too predictable to constitute good entertainment. Don't get me wrong here - the real Army/Navy/Marine wives here and now are making sacrifices that we should all honor. I just wish the program were more compelling.
webbertracy As a army brat and an air force wife - we don't look like these women, predominantly we don't act like these women, but yes it is a different world. It can be hard to be second to the military and have our needs dismissed by the hierarchy. But you become stronger people for it. I've brought my children up as a married woman but more like a single family. The military takes it doesn't give...Its interesting to be overseas but it isn't always easy as there are few jobs for spouses and we are often looked down on by local communities, because we take jobs from locals. Its lonely and some times alien family are often far away and not always on the same time zone. I don't regret the 12 years i spent as a spouse but I regret allowing the military to dominate a large part of my life
