densteele I love to find these errors!! I'm watching a series on Netfix called Bomb Girls. It takes place in a bomb factory during World War II. Here, in Season 2 Episode 1, an unidentified airplane enters the factory's air space and the employees are hurried to a bomb shelter. Finally, the call comes "all clear -- Air Force says a false alarm". B-U-T, the Army Air Corp doesn't become the U.S. Air Force until September 1947!!!But what an enjoyable show. I so enjoy TV during this time in our history. It's a great way to spend an evening in front of the TV!!Keep these kind of shows coming. I view these while streaming via the internet. Another wonderful delivery system that makes TV truly worthwhile.
seamsu This series brings reality to the screen and back into our living rooms. Well written, excellent actors and it looks like we're going to see more than just the "war" side of things. Betty, do you have a crush on Kate? This show reminds me of the stories my mother told me when I was a little girl, about the work that women were thrown into during WWII and how many obstacles they had to overcome, especially from the prejudice that surrounded the woman that went out and tried to do something for the war effort. Thanks for putting something out there that is worth an hour of my time! It sure is a nice change from the sitcoms and dramas that have been thrown at us over the last few years.
Glipp I loved this series. At first, I wasn't expecting too much - I was expecting some kind of Pan Am/Playboy Club Hybrid. But this was most definitely not the case. Every episode had me glued to my seat. Every actor plays his/her part to perfection! I Meg Tilly was perfect. Peter Outerbridge was perfect. They all were. All were in character from start to finish - and very interesting characters they were too. My only complaint is that the series was so short. I didn't want it to end so soon.Being a Canadian series, and not an American one, it is likely that there won't be a second Season. The final episode wasn't left open-ended for the possibility of ramping up profits by adding another Season.Although a man, I sometimes enjoy stories told from the female perspective a little more than from the male's. For this genre of story, I doubt that I am in the minority.
lverners Fantastic mini-series and knowing it's "made in Canada" tips it over the top! So many incredible scenes, so many incredible stories. Acting, storyline and wardrobe are amazing. Lorna brings sensitivity and passion back to the TV screen. You feel her desire for Marco when he touches her. Wow what a show! The writers and directors put together a wonderful experience for us to enjoy and learn from. Can't wait for more! In fact, I'm already planning a "Bomb Girls" theme party for next season's premiere; cocktails, dresses, handsome men in suits or uniforms. May even serve SPAM like hors d'oeuvre on silver plates.P.S. Where can I get some blue head dress scarves? Congrats!
