difquin "Casper og Mandrilaftalen" ( - roughly translated into "Casper and the Mandril Agreement") broke new ground when it was broadcast during 1999. Never before had TV satire been so lowbudget, so rough around the edges or so primitive. The writers of the show once described it as "Children's TV for adults" - which gives a good offset for understanding what this thing really is. Some might claim that it is just poor quality humour, others, myself included, think that this show might be the closest we can get to actual surrealistic or dadaistic TV. Most lines, albeit written in a script, seem to come from random impulses and some make no sense at all. But in all the meaninglessness the hilarious element involuntarily arises. The Python crew realised this back in the 70's and with Casper og Mandrilaftalen, the genre was renewed. Maybe that's why John Cleese stopped by in the second season of the show, as both a 'Gunrack of Love' repairman and a Kite enthusiast...

JanChristensen Absolutely brilliant and ground breaking comedy from four of the most talented and bright comedians in Denmark. Lending elements from the pythonesque and then giving the screw another turn, this show leaves you rolling on the floor begging for more absurdities.This show is in my cool book and deserves all the credit and gold it can eat.

hansenwillemann When i first time saw this show i was totally finished, because it was so funny that i could not stop laughing. i will recommend it to everyone that want to get a big laugh. A fantastic and crazy show i have ever seen.

rasmus-9 When I first watched "Casper & Mandril Aftalen" I didn't have any idea about what I was going in to.It's quite hard to describe what the show actually was about. Casper Christensen - the host, sat behind a desk and did all sorts of crazy things. The show always started with Casper showing his very special list of what was to come on the show. An example: "23.15: German lock smith buys brave panda." It's hard to convey the crazy on goings in the show so I'll leave it to those who are lucky enough to be able to watch the show.Top marks: 87 out of 10
