Reviews

Kal For Hallmark this is a pretty show and beautifully shot on Vancouver Island as well as Vancouver. The pace is slow and though has a 'Brothers & Sisters' feel, it falls short in a few areas. Lack of diversity being the obvious one. The acting is OK, it is difficult to care for any of the characters and that sense of mystery in each character is a good ploy. Sadly Cheryl Ladd's 'Irish' accent is distracting. Overall its alright and predictable.
margyette As someone who grew up on the Chesapeake and moved away, I started watching this hoping to see familiar sights of my beloved Bay. It's filmed in Canada. I won't go into how this makes me feel, but suffice to say, I don't think they should be allowed to call it "Chesapeake shores" and not go anywhere near the Chesapeake. The show is okay, but not original or good enough that I got engrossed enough to see past that. I'm a pretty easy sell, so that's... really fairly bad.
sarah_goodall I have never really watched any hallmark shows so have nothing to compare this too. The show is set in such a beautiful location. The story line is good and not to cheesy which is nice. The characters play their parts brilliantly and the show is easy watch but unfolds fast enough you don't get bored. The show is about a large family, all of whom are successful in their very varied careers, they have had a rough time of it in the past and their lives seem to have had some recent changes. These changes help the family come together and enjoy each others company and help each other out in their times of need.I hope they keep the series going and don't just drop it later, there is nothing more annoying than getting into a new show to only find they have dropped it later. I watch the show with all my family and they all enjoy it although my husband hates it, he can't watch shows like this they don't have enough happening to entertain him. The characters all have areas that can really develop and old relationships that need repairing. On the whole this show is a feel good show that makes for easy watching and the setting is just gorgeous, it makes me want to pack up and move.
jnaughton-84047 I like the show. It had a lot of predictable moments but I love the setting, the family support the characters show to each other and all around warmth and sweet sentiment. Just what I need after a long day and when I want to curl up and watch a show that is enjoyable and light. I love Treat Williams he is such a joy to watch and the sisters have good chemistry. The lead actress does a good job keeping the show going and I enjoyed her work on Once Upon A Time. As for some drawbacks,it has a bit too much gloss to it and typical scenarios you would find on hallmark but I think the kinks could be worked out and hopefully the writers will go a little deeper with the drama and characters. i look forward to more episodes.
