Kate Reed is a firm believer that justice can always be found – even if it's not always in the courtroom. Once a lawyer at her family's esteemed San Francisco firm, Kate's frustration with the legal system led her to a new career as a mediator. Thanks to her innate understanding of human nature, thorough legal knowledge, and wry sense of humor, Kate is a natural when it comes to dispute resolution. Except, it seems, when it comes to conflicts in her own life.

Reviews

megggymag Well, I really had to ignore what the cases were about and what solution Kate had for those to enjoy the show - but eventually I really did.In the first season I wanted Kate to get back together with Justin, this was the reason why I continued with watching the episodes, definitely not the legal issues. Even though I am not familiar with the legal-lawyer-attorney attitude, I found it hard to adapt to the real life, especially the way of the solution for the cases. I did not like most of the issues either.Anyhow, I was very interested how Kate would deal with her problems in her relationship with her ex and her "stepmom".In the second season I just watched it because of Ben :) He was my favourite one and would have loved if the show continued on the path of him and Kate, but I missed the evolution of their character and also started to miss the continuity of the personal background stories - it seemed to me that they just forgot about those and just wanted to write one more episode with no future plans :( It would have been a nice, calm show but with writers with ideas...
michelangelooo I have liked Fairly Legal from the beginning. I have a good sense of shows that will make it, and those that don't. This is the umpteenth time I have found out the show I have been enjoying, are being filmed somewhere else than where they are supposed to ON LOCATION! X-Files, CSI:Miami, Frasier, and now Justified, and Fairly Legal. What is the problem with filming in Kentucky, or Miami, or Seattle? Why do they all have be done on the L.A back lot, or Vancuver B.C.? Do the film companies think everyone watching the TV is that stupid? or do they just not care? I wish they would explain to me and the other TV fans who care about some modicum of truth in the show they are producing. I really like Sarah Shahi, she's fiery, spicy, has a Smokin' Hot body, I'd like to know if the infamous "nipple" scene on her boat was all natural, or props (LOL)
winstonfg Hey, I'm a bloke and I like watching Sarah Shahi in nice outfits; so it should be a cinch, right? Peppy lead, great support, interesting idea … and yet it has the feel of a ship looking for a helm.I want it to work, because I want to see more of Sarah; but if I take my testosterone cap off for a minute, I actually want to see more of the other characters too: Virginia Williams as buttoned-down fulminate Lauren Reed, who pretty much takes over every scene she's in; Baron Vaughn as high-tech geek boy-Friday Leonardo with a yen for the sandwich-lady downstairs; and Michael Trucco, who I don't think the writers have yet decided is the high-flyer ADA he wants to be, or Kate's ping-pong paddle. It's fun, but as yet shallow, and I'd like to see the UXB it could be … not to mention a few more seasons of Sarah in those tight skirts.
walton-j6 Sexy! sassy! brilliant! funny! If your reading this and want know if this show is worth watching, them the only thing i can say is; yes, yes, yes, yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sarha Shahi is superb, she brings Kate Reed to life and the rest of the cast only amplify how good this show is. So guys keep up the good work. You, yes you, reading this stop now go watch enjoy you want be sorry. It only took minuets to become a fan. The fact that the character Kate Reed left her father's Law firm to do something different, is what makes this show different from other legal drama's. It has given us a kind of story, instead of it being fort in a court room, Kate does her utmost to keep out of court. Her tactic for doing this is quiet simple. Sit down shut up and listen we're not leaving till this sorted. Kate has a nice signature"the whistle"you'll know it and start to like it. It will stop you cold!! Now if you're still reading this you really need to stop. Go watch and enjoy this brilliant show:)
