mwcrunner This old show from Disney Channel is priceless and very fun to watch. Goofy is one of the funniest cartoon characters ever and he also makes a terrific dad. Also Pete is still kind of a villain in this show as he is in the old Mickey Mouse cartoons. He has a family in this show though and has heart too. One episode of this show that I remember is this one where Goofy, Max, Pete, PJ, Peg and Pistol meet Frankenstein's Monster who looks like Pete and it is funny and cool. This is one of the many old shows of Disney Channel that I remember watching, besides DuckTales, Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, TailSpin, and other shows. This show will always be a part of Goofy's timeline.
anthony-rigoni Goof Troop in my book is super funny, and super entertaining! Goofy is a comic knucklehead and a great cartoon actor. So is Pete. When Pete and Goofy collide, it's chaos and laughs all the way! Goofy is a stay-at-home bachelor. His son is Max. Goofy and Max lived next door with a swindling, short-tempered car-salesman named Pete. His wife is Peg. Every time when Pete does something wrong, she would respond by telling him to do the right thing (even if she has to yell at him) Pete calls her "Honey-bear" or any cute name just to show how much he loves his wife. He and Peg has two kids, PJ and Pistol. PJ is Max's best friend. Pistol is PJ's highly energetic and adorable sister. Each neighbor has a pet. Goofy and Max's pet is a cat named Waffles. Pete, Peg, PJ, and Pistol's pet is a dog named Chainsaw. I love this show so much I hope it comes out on a DVD box-set! Good job for Goof Troop! You rock! 10000000000000000000000000000000000000+/10
Seth Nelson Disney the Genius continues with "Goof Troop," the 1992 Disney cartoon series that was part of the Disney Afternoon block.Goofy and Max lived in a funny, broken-down house while their neighbors, Pete, Peg (was that her name?), P.J., Pistol, and Chainsaw lived in a nicer house!!!!! Pete also ran a used car dealership, "Pete's Used Cars." This cartoon is very nice and very funny; it's got a little bit of adventure in it. What I liked about this show: It was cute and funny. I was always excited when this show had come on, just like the other shows "DuckTales," "TaleSpin," and "Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers" on TDA."Goof Troop" is another good show! Watch it!10 stars
Jake Bishop If any TV Series deserves to be on DVD, then "Goof Troop" certainly does! It was done so well! So comical, witty, and action made ever, it is one of the best Disney Animated Series's ever! It is so classic and such a gas that it deserves to be. I certainly hope it does come out on DVD sooner or later. Every Cartoon-Series admirer favors this over most of the other Disney ones. Especially I do. I favor it over any other animated series you can name. I love this series, because it has a lot of slapstick and witty-joke comedy, and I love the color and sound quality of it, too. Some things that happen in it are pretty illogical, though. Like, a little bit too cartoon-like for a great animated series. Like, the way people in it sometimes run, scurry, and bang around, how fast they mantle and dismantle things, how fast they sometimes speed around corners or around roads in just a flash, and how the weather acts. Like, in one episode, it starts to rain and flood really fast. Plus, another thing is that in one episode, a couple of characters walk around with their eyes plumb shut, just after having a sleepless night, and still know where they're going without them needing to crack their eyes opened any. Many things that the characters have done in this series could have all been done just a little bit more logically. but I do love how they made all the nature in it, and drew all the characters. I love how the challenging ways all the adults treat each other are in the story. That is, Pete, Peg, and Goofy. For example, Pete is most of the time a slime-ball (mostly towards Goofy, though), and that's one reason I like him so much (for entertainment, everybody loves slime-balls up to some point). I also love Peg, because she is such a real ditz, and is very dominant, and sentimental, which I love the most about her; and even though I don't favor Goofy as high as I do Pete and Peg, Goofy is most of the time a goof-ball, mainly a kook; whom for that sake Pete always has a gas picking on and mocking, in most of the episodes. I think they all make a great pair for an animated TV Series comedy. Including all of their kids who always have to put up with most of it all the time. I am a real Goof Troop fan. I get a real kick out of it. And out of all the characters in it, I am mainly a Pete and Peg fan. What would the series be without them? They make the series even a lot more fun than just Goofy would have. I'm sure glad that it has all the cast that it does. I wonder why Peg and Pistol never existed or made any appearance in both of the Goofy Movies, such as Goofy Movie, A (1995), and Extremely Goofy Movie, An (2000). Other than just Goofy, Max, Pete, and PJ (who all were in the Goofy movies), also Peg and Pistol were such a great part of this story, too. Why eliminate them in the movies? They fitted right in with the others.
