Reviews

Matt Boyce Happy Days is an all time classic American television sitcom. At its peak it was a fantastic can't-miss TV show and the reruns are still always on and watched by viewers today.I'd give the peak seasons a 10 but unfortunately in later years, especially after Richie and Ralph Malph left, the show got very stale and was frankly a shadow of its former self.
tdiet-24810 Happy Days was great first few seasons had a definite 1950s feel..Interesting lessons learned, very sweet, innocent and fun loving. The reason for the drastic change was ratings. The Potsie character was not generating the ratings. If Fonzie had not been the main star with Richie the show would have been canceled. I love the early episodes once the guys left HS show was not nearly as enjoyable. Once Richie character left I stopped watching....
Syl Growing up in the 1980s where seeing shows in reruns or syndication was the norm, I remember Happy Days as a silly, conventional family comedy with Marion Ross as the mother and Tom Bosley as the father with children, Ron Howard and Erin Moran as Richie and Joanie Cunningham. Who could forget Henry Winkler as the Fonz with his black leather jacket? The show appeared light-hearted and rarely did anything more than entertain audiences and families without being so offensive. There was no bathroom humor and we were introduced to characters such as Laverne and Shirley and Mork played by Robin Williams. Happy Days was the opposite of All in the Family where it was more friendly and kind to it's family. We remember the Cunninghams owned a hardware store and Mama Cunningham stayed home but the characters were more than just one notes. They became full-fledged as time went on and the show lasted 10 years but the memories are still intact.
rkallao Ron Howard , Henry Winkler , Erin Moran and the rest of the cast made up one of the best , if not the best TV series since MASH , style and directing , other characters that came onto the show like Laverne and Shirley and Mork from Ork , even both Al's that ran the diner where everybody hung out , all made up a gem of a TV series , besides Dawn Wells from Gilligan's Island , I must admit I had a crush on when I saw her , then came Erin Moran . Happy Days I never missed an episode when it came on , they made us laugh and cry and always taught us a lesson about life . Where are these types of TV shows today ? Need more shows like Happy Days , MASH to teach us and educate us :)Happy Days are here again :) In DVD form :)
