Reviews

Ganesh Hegde This is one of the best shows; excellent story, good script, exceptional acting by everyone, and good cinematography. The fifth season was a bit slow, but, what's disappointing is Spacey's departure (removal, rather) from the show. No matter how good the others were, Spacey is what made this show perfect. Without him, there is no way the show can survive. The series has ended for me.
Kirpianuscus It could be defined as phenomenon. or as the truth portrait expected by public. a serie about politic remembering Shakespeare comedies. a film about power, its levels, its price, its victims, its roots. impeccable acted, having perfect script. and proposing the cold view about every day near reality. so, more than a serie. preserving the mark of Kevin Spacey performance .
gargnakshatra11 If You Like GAME OF THRONES I am Sure You'll like This One Too... I LIKE IT TOO MUCH 10/10.
azmark1887 I was originally a fan of this often well-written and well-acted series. Having worked in Washington for about 10 years, I enjoyed watching the intrigue of the inner workings of Congress and the White House. While it's both interesting and enjoyable to watch Francis and his wife maneuver the machinery of Washington through intelligence, cunning, and the old quid pro quo, the show took a quick descent into the absurd and grotesque by the end of the first season. This is a bit of a spoiler: It's fun to watch Francis force his way with a bill or into a leadership post through scratching a back, telling a little lie, and the threat of ruining a career or reputation. It's quite another thing to watch him asphyxiate a troubled but talented young man and push an ambitious young woman in front of a speeding subway train. And what was the point of watching Claire, a victim of date rape in college, forcibly touching a former employee's genitals (a man dying of cancer) in a hospital bed? This is suppose to be entertaining?Evidently the writers were unable to think of a creative way for Francis to deal with the growing problem of Zoe Barnes, so they just killed her. I could understand why Francis might take advantage of the situation with the young congressman running for governor, but the second murder was bizarre. I left the show in the middle of the second season very disappointed.
