Reviews

nancy82443 Unfortunately the show ended long ago and I had to watch on Netflix. I have now seen every episode and would like to applaud the actors-each and every one of them. Out of all the films I've watched over the years I think these actors built strong characters for the roles they played. I was lucky to watch one right after the other and really got attached to these characters. Whatever emotions they were going through they did them so well that we were right there with them. I think one of the things I like the most was the way the characters were written.I like the fact that they didn't keep their hair "perfect", they were comfortable in their choice of clothing. I just can't tell you how much I enjoyed this series. I'm very sorry to know that season 8 was the last, I think it could have gone on for a lot longer without dulling our interest. Again, congratulations to each of the actors,in my humble opinion you did a fantastic job...now I love you all....and wish you nothing but success in your professional lives as well as your personal lives.
barrydavis OK, I'm a man that sometimes watches female-centric programming. Mostly because I like to understand the opposite sex, which I love. And, the women on this show are very attractive. But, like most hetero men, don't always understand what's in their heads. So, I thought I could learn a few things while watching this series from down under. Understandably, and based on all the other feedback from this series, it has been given high marks for story, character development, setting, landscape, actor performance, and everything else. All well-deserved. However, I was especially surprised and amazed at a male-centric episode in Season 5, episode 31, titled "Body and Soul" near the end of the season. I want to recognize Fin Edquist as the writer (I looked it up on IMDb.com) It was the best episode I had seen so far. I won't spoil it, but it was just amazing to see what the men of the story could do. They came through for their women, and brothers, and best friends in spades. Just the kind of heart wrenching story even a guy can appreciate. Keep it coming.
SaddleBrooke My wife and I saw some of the re-runs on TV, and quickly became addicted to the show. Other TV favorites include Westwing, House and The Sopranos ... each different from each other, but highly recommended.McLeod's Daughters is the top-rated outback series in Australia. The series covers lots of stories about each of the characters, and includes lots of beautiful scenery of southern Australia. Having relocated from NYC, NY to Tucson, AZ about 10 years ago, we've really come to appreciate the western atmosphere and scenery. We used Netflix to view seasons 1-7 (of 8, which is not released on DVD yet).
heavenly_heart_1 This is the story of two daughters that together with some other woman drives a farm in Gungellan, Australia. I think this drama is a wonderful production!! It is one of the best I've seen! The story is realistic and fun. And it's even great to see that women can drive a farm. You can see yourself in the characters, it's not like a typical soap where people do mad things every now and then. The nature is beautiful, as usual, in the scenes. Every set has an on theme, so you won't know what will happen in the next program. I think the best program were when Claire gave birth to little Charlotte. You have to see it to know why:)
