Reviews

bettycjung 6/25/18. A great series about cyber-technology and white-hat hackers who justify spying on everyone to prevent crime. Whatever. Overall, the series kept its intensity throughout the 5 seasons, changing from saving people who didn't know they need saving to saving The Machine from another more nefarious machine, Samaritan. Caviezel was good at the beginning but seemed to have lost "interest" in the last two seasons, after his return from disappearing for a few episodes. The emphasis seemed to have shifted to the secondary players, like Root and Shaw, which was all right. Root took getting used to. I found her coyness somewhat annoying at the beginning, but the writers seemed to have developed the character a bit more over time. Too bad Carter went MIA, Henson did a good job with her. Overall, this series is worth watching for its suspense and action and entertaining the possibility that global surveillance can be a good thing IF there were ethical people behind the scenes who were willing to do unethical things to ensure Justice is served.
sthgeeth I have created the imdb account to post the review for this series. It was very cleverly made plot and Im addicted to in watching the series. and some of the series you wont guess what is going to happen also some of the series has best twist ending. Every programmer has to see this series in which how artificial intelligence has been used. Finally it is a masterpiece.
adonis98-743-186503 An ex-assassin and a wealthy programmer save lives via a surveillance AI that sends them the identities of civilians involved in impending crimes. However, the details of the crimes--including the civilians' roles--are left a mystery. Person of Interest benefits from Jim Caviezel's and Michael Emerson's chemistry when on the same time it has a smart plot, good written characters, great perfomances and lots of action and suspense and even tho it does have some flaws as all tv shows have threw some episodes it's still a well made and well written TV Series. (8/10)
kanamynlogic First of all I am a television skeptic. I hope for the best but tire quickly of mundane brain fodder. Over the past few years I have developed a habit of ignoring popular taste and wait until a show finishes its run before deciding whether to binge-watch the finished work. Many shows jump the shark over the course of their run and I want no part of that. This technique paid off wonderfully for the show "House" which, despite periodic cast changes, stayed interesting to the end."Person of Interest" took a topic from the headlines (Artificial Intelligence) and made the future seem current. But far from a sci-fi shoot-em-up, this series sharpened its intelligence as it matured. (I have just finished my second binge watch of the entire series and will start a third.) The characters that populate this world are wonderful and flawed. Good guys are at times bad and the bad guys refuse to become one-dimensional. The motivations behind evil forces are understandable, if not convincing. Ruthless killers discover the capacity for change and redemption and often become heroes. Hope for the human soul springs eternal. The final two seasons are as moving and poignant as anything I have ever seen on television, The great question of the series is whether humans will sacrifice the free will of choice over their own lives in exchange for protection of an all-seeing power. And if we relinquish free will, of what value is humanity? At the series end mankind and machine seem to verge into one with the AI learning compassion what it means to be human. As Amy Acker's character, Root, sums up the ephemeral, fleeting nature of human life: "Everyone dies alone. But if you mean something to someone...if you help someone or love someone, and even a single person remembers you... then maybe you never really die at all?"This is a series that pays off, in its conclusion, for having had faith in the consistency of its message. Binge watching was created for works like this. Like a great sweeping novel. Beautiful.
