Honestly...if you remove all the political banter that surrounded this production & actually viewed the broadcast for what it was, which was a 'dramatization' of events that led up to the 9/11 attacks, then anyone could see that this wasn't a 'bad', 'evil' or 'smear' movie. On the contrary, it provides a very intriguing commentary on how the terrorists pulled this off, how we tie our own hands through bureaucratic inaction & red tape, and can be distracted, while bickering along party lines (which continues to this day). What's dishonest is to deny that the 'path' to these events occurred during both the Clinton and Bush administrations (from 1993 - 2001, which is the time frame for this documentary). Things were overlooked & mistakes were made by all parties...the signs were there, but we dropped our guard. And what is unfounded is why we're still not allowed to further scrutinize this production through a DVD release? Step up Disney/ABC...be bold & brave...this is not the era of informative oppression...this is an important piece of work that we should be allowed free & open opportunity to see/buy/discuss, IMHO.

The film makers use of the 9/11 commission report to compile a movie that is so entertaining and educational is simply magnificent. The fact that this film is based on such a boring and hard to read report is a tribute to the makers abilities. To the liberal conspiracy theorist, that thinks President Bush was somehow involved in the tragic events of 9/11, this is truly a bust. The liberal mind set is to ignore facts when they are presented to refute their ideas, no-matter how crazy they might be. As an American that lets the facts do the talking, this film exposes the ineptitude of the U.S. Government to successfully combat terrorism during the Clinton years. I can't wait for this to come out on DVD!!!

Many have said this is propaganda. It is not. Shall I give the page of the 911 report written by a non partisan group. Page 140 is what this documentary is based on. Just goto http://www.9-11commission.gov/report/911Report.pdf PAGE 140. This is why Sandy Burgler stole documents from the national archive. He stole originals and the first and second backup copies but was caught with the second documents. In a plead not to goto jail Burgler has to take a lie detector test, which he has yet to do. The truth is there for all to see. You can read the entire report as I have or you can watch this movie and see that we the people are not fighting the war on terror seriously. With all I know now we are going to wish we bombed Iran while we could. The president has no power now just as Clinton had no power to get Bin Laden. Our press led by ABC has torn Clinton down and now Bush. I would highly advise watching this. I think ABC aired it to try to save face.

Excellent docudrama. I suggest everyone see it when they have a chance and ponder the history of the 90's. That it bothers the left so much tells a lot about what they didn't do. They make excuses and this show while somewhat fictionalized in its actions shows that fact of history is true. We had opportunities to have bin Laden handed to us. The people who understood the threat were marginalized and ignored. We had a president who shamelessly led us into a two year forest of persona scandal when he could have been doing his job. His job was protecting the United States not hanging out with 21 year old interns. Instead of having stopped Bin Laden we are faced with if onlys and a former president who bullies news reporters when they ask him the questions he can barely ask himself. A must see for every American who wants to know why and wants the honest truth.
