Just remembered about it after two years since I saw this movie, and couldn't resist writing that this is the worst movie I've ever seen. Really, speaking of it like a "movie" is even too much, this is the most idiot thing I've ever watched. OK I must write 10 lines so... the worst movie ever, I really want to express my disappointment, so... how to write 10 lines? This comment is more elaborate than the plot of this movie, and I only wrote it to complete the mandatory ten lines...could't even cut and paste... I bought the DVD by mistake,wanting a different film with a deceptively similar title known for its special effects. I watched in increasing embarrassment for about ten minutes as the full awfulness of the film revealed itself and my wife wondered why I had chosen it. We got as far as the 'science', which would have had me laughing at its ignorance from the age of fourteen.Couldn't they have paid a teenager who had actually been to school to check it for them? Perhaps they could have employed a screenwriter and actors too, but then they wouldn't have had the worst film of the millennium.How did this garbage get as high as 1.9? I looked at the spread and some kind of votebot for the makers has recorded loads of tens. Couldn't you just ignore these? A few folk seem to have been more subtle and have given it five,but you wouldn't expect many associated with this film to have a full set of thinking tools, so there were not many fives.You really need to institute a zero score option to cope with excrement this deep.

I'm fond of movies that are quite poorly done. Especially the low-budget ones, such as this near-gem. The special effects of the ground cracking open were fine. However, those of snow falling on the Mexican forest while the temperature also fell and fell were unusually terrible. Not only didn't the snow cling to leaves, but it didn't even melt on them. Nor did below-freezing temperatures affect the vegetation itself. I'm too old to have any more kids, but were I to have a son I'd name him Stock Footage --- in the same spirit as Rip Torn. There was a fair amount of that, too. And the acting was at best so-so. So, ordinarily I'd give this the IMDb equivalent of a C-. However, 2012 Doomsday supposedly is a Christian movie. It tries to combine Christianity with the supposed expiration of the Mayan calendar cycle next December. It teaches that the Last Judgment can be diverted, postponed. It teaches other things that Jesus warned Christians of in Matthew 7:15-20. Since in 21st Century America most people don't read the Bible much, this movie

"2012" movie. Yes it is. Only one remark. Maya Indians knew about the greenback emissions ? Man, they have scheduled the end of the world on the 21st of December 2012 ! By strange coincidence on the the 21st of December 2012 expires the 99 year rent of money printing machines of the US Mint by FRS from the US government (1913). Oh, these Maya... 15 trillion debt, world full of green toilet paper with no golden reserves, goods, or services to cover, line of wars waged with one aim - not to let the financial pyramid fall, thousands of murdered civilians overseas, nation brainwashed with the war on terrorism, NDDA act, military dictatorship pending...The authors of the movie obviously wanted to say "People, it's not the end of the world, things could be much worse, like boarding on archs for 1 000 000 000 000 Euro a ticket". Pray until it is too late !
