Had high hopes for this given the real SEAL dimension but it was not the SEALs who let this film down, nor was it the cameramen but the plot and direction. It is nicely shot, good locations, albeit too many switches, and decent acting but the story was overkill and the constantly changing locations made it reminiscent of the the opening credits for The A-Team.The voice-over was distracting given the lack of emotion in the voice and the good vs evil characters was comic book like.Overall it came across like a cold war era propaganda film which I'm sure was not the intention as movie goers today are too savvy to fall for such attempts. I feel the filmmakers let the SEALs down and should have taken a leaf out of the Tears of The Sun playbook.

This is a great military movie. Very action packed and great story. I feel like there's a lot of crappy movie critics on here. The scene when the military comes up out of the water on to the house in the jungle was epic.

Okay, SEALs can't act. I accept that. But which is better, to have actors getting tactics wrong and f****** up the whole movie, or real SEALs absolutely rocking the action scenes but not being wholly convincing in the few acting bits? I know which I prefer. I've just read the book which this film is based on "Damn Few" and I highly recommend anyone who enjoyed this movie to do the same. Written by Rorke Denver (who plays LT in the movie), it gives some fascinating context to the making of this really unique film. Given that this is SEALs playing SEALs, the fight scenes are predictably incredibly good. But beyond that, this is a well written and genuinely moving but ultimately heartrending tribute to those who enable freedom. I'd like to take every single snowflake triggered by a tweet and force them to watch this film so they can perhaps begin to appreciate the sacrifices that have to be made to allow them to spout the appalling stuff that they do. The scene at the end of all the tridents being placed on the coffin actually happened, as did the grenade scene that preceded this. Such sacrifice of the very best any generation could produce. This is a really great movie (except for some of the acting!).

This movie is geared for veterans and people who have a true understanding and respect for war and the people who served in them. If you just like Rambo and Robocop type of action flicks I strongly encourage you to stay away from this film. Done very well, showing tactical teamwork by...you guessed it an elite tactical team. Now there are actual actors/actresses in this as well but this is one of the best war films made, belongs in the same category as Lone Survivor/American Sniper/13 Hours. It lets you get truly connected to the people in it because this isn't a true story, at least not according to any type of record. But the Seal team is real and you can see the bond that they share. Truly well done and wish more people would follow suit. I mean I like the classic cheesy action flicks but this is a nice change of pace.
