jonsmith1928 It's sad that Jon Voight ad James Woods, two actors who I've always admired in the past, chose to waste their talent and sully their images by appearing in this trashy, obvious garbage. I guess Woods has always been strident with his political viewpoint but what the hell has happened to Voight? Wasn't he fairly Liberal-or at least not so insane? Between the insane accusations that President Obama is a "secret Muslim who hates America"and his appearances in crap that is quite beneath his talent,he has lost my respect. Where have you gone Joe Buck? My wish is that artists just play to their strengths and not to their ideologies.Everyone is
petarmatic I had accidentally watched this film in Dubrovnik, Croatia in an open Jadran film theater. Film theater was nicer place then the film itself. Also, viewing audience did not really understood what is really in the film.Conservatives lashing back at Michael Moore! Some of us understood that. Well, I think they have it right from their point of view. He worked tirelessly to take the White House away from the Republicans. and he finally did. It was not a miracle that someone would make a film trying to bash Michael.Well, I think plot should be looked as a continuous struggle between the Republicans and Democrats for power in the USA.Acting is OK, but nothing spectacular. All in all, if you want to watch Republicans bashing at Democrats this is a film for you, otherwise, you might skip it, nothing special in it.
David Curtis (david0453) I saw this movie by chance on Danish TV last night. And I enjoyed it. It is from an openly conservative viewpoint, which I found refreshing, and the parody of Micheal Moore is quite good. It is also quite funny. It probably sets off all the 'politically correct' alarm bells - but I quite like that :) It has a similar structure to many other 'parody' movies and uses big (ish) names in cameo roles - so it is not ground breaking or new in that sense. What is new is that several actors were prepared to be in a movie that could have damaged their careers in some ways due to the political stance that is taken. However, I personally feel that far too many otherwise good movies are dominated by a 'politically correct' agenda.
Brian Humby I rarely write reviews, and I almost never vote negatively for films I have seen which were... less than good. But I found myself to be offended at least 10 times by this film in the 25 minutes I was allowed to watch it (my girlfriend made me switch the station during the "college professor" scene). This movie seems to be the ultimate decider as to whether someone is a conservative or a liberal. I consider myself neither. I think both sides have a lot of work to do. But it seems pretty obvious that if you are a conservative, you will like this movie. If you lean to the left, you will hate it, but the most important thing to take away from this film is that it is a perfect insight into the mind of conservatives. And it is intensely unintelligent. I think this movie was awful, but I would recommend that everyone see it. Conservatives: so that you can confirm that which you already believe, and Liberals: so that you can understand, a little more exactly, how strangely these people think. I have lost all respect for everyone who participated in this film. It's a shame, too. I loved Chris Farley as a child, and it's sad to see his brother doing this awfully. Kelsey Grammar used to seem intelligent to me. He no longer does. Leslie Nielson probably had no idea what was going on around him while filming this. I don't even know... I'm just depressed now.Good luck, Brian
