danielhdoro I'm not gonna say much. My title says it all. It has the idea of the old Kafkaesque scenario: the closed room, no basic information on the characters, no one knows how they got there, no one knows how to get out, classic sudden paranoia and a bit (not much) of claustrophobia. However, is not nearly as fun as other movies with the same concept like: Saw, Cube, Fermat's Room, Exam, etc. Poor acting, awful sound editing (you can barely hear what they are saying), the gore resembles old corny shootout movies and worst of all: The game is not even a bit interesting, no puzzles, no nothing. Thanks for attempting to make more of my favorite movie style, but it didn't turn out well. Just one thing, though: For starters, you shouldn't spoil the end of the movie in the cover picture. That's plain stupid.
nysalesman100-1 This movie starts off well enough but quickly fizzles into a chaos of frustration. The "dark" scenes are obviously faux in order for the viewer to see in the dark - even though there's nothing to see; so just making it true dark with sound would have been far more suspenseful. Even though the acting was quite good, this type of movie is supposed to be a thriller (put together the pieces and figure it out). True thrillers, by true masters like Hitchcock, give you all the clues and put them together in a way that you don't follow for a surprising twist at the end. However, they don't cheat by changing the rules of the universe they've created. Conversely, this movie totally cheats and changes the rules as it goes along. For instance it was easy to figure that Tanya being the final contestant (and as the tape says the most important), and also the least threatening, is the killer. However, they show her listening to a tape in the bathroom as if she's one of the contestants when in fact she's later revealed to be in on the experiment and a planted killer. So, why then would she need to listen to a tape by herself to explain what's going on? This is just lazy writing. I've written a book with far more twists and didn't have to resort to cheap tricks like this, so why couldn't the writers of this movie? The ending was also very disappointing, they go through the trouble of showing you the people perpetrating the torture but don't explain who they are or why; as such it would have been better if they just ended the movie five minutes earlier when Tanya turns out the light. Heck, the entire movie would have been worthwhile if Tanya (Ailsa Marshall) has shown her cans when she was stripping at the end but you don't even get that for closure (what "B" movie horror actress refuses to show nudity?) The movie is worth a watch but don't expect it to be anything new or to make any sense.
Quedra Actually I got high expectations at first when I see the cover. But without any doubt, I can define this movie as a time waste. Especially if you had watched the saw series you will regret that you spend time on this. It has obviously a very similar script of saw, but the thing is that, it does not have a strong or sharp subject. Indeed even the climax was very "unsuprising". On the other hand at the end you think that the whole thing got an idea, I mean it must have some logic behind the events; but guess the guy who wrote this just wanna do some money by making films without any talent. Still it is unfortunate that he got that idea while watching Saw.. Wish the writer will come up with some original ideas...
gavin6942 Tonya (Ailsa Marshall) is dumped naked into a room with thirteen strangers. She is player fourteen in a sadistic game where only the survivors win. With each player given clues and tools to survive, who will be left? And who is behind this? Not everyone tells the truth, so can the players trust each other to keep themselves civil? You're going to see review after review comparing this film to "Saw", and some comparing it to "Battle Royale"... still others referencing lesser known films. And, it's true, there's a "Saw" vibe here and a "Battle Royale" vibe... but don't let that dissuade you. There is nothing new about survival horror and it won't go away any time soon. And, if done correctly, that's not a bad thing.I've also seen certain comments concerning the low budget and overabundance of white light. I don't deny these aspects, but in complete honesty they didn't bother me one bit. As long as your film has an interesting story -- and this one does -- and isn't a complete shambles, you have me hook, line and sinker. My only issue with this film was that I had a very strong suspicion of the ending from the very beginning. I was even more convinced after a big clue was dropped in the interview scene.Fans of "Saw" will like this, as will people who like puzzles, so long as they keep an open mind and don't judge it strictly on its low budget and similarities to other films. I was thoroughly engaged by the interesting characters, destruction of film stereotypes, and ultimately the very clever writing inherent in the picture. Allegedly this film was thrown together roughly overnight, but it doesn't show.
