A deadly virus has spread across the globe. Contagion is everywhere, no one is safe, and no one can be trusted. Four friends race through the back roads of the American West on their way to a secluded utopian beach in the Gulf of Mexico where they could peacefully wait out the pandemic. Their plans take a grim turn when their car breaks down on an isolated road starting a chain of events that will seal their fates.

cjbutenschoen Don't waste your time, it's beyond terrible. I put it on because I like the actors in this movie, but I don't know what they were thinking when they decided to star on this picture. Maybe they were all bored and had time to waste, because that's what they did, wasted their time and mine. This is probably the harshest review I have ever done but I expected so much more from these actors.

merceplucas Carriers is no boundary-pusher. It's not the most unique concept, its writing isn't stellar, its young adult actors aren't prodigies, its soundtrack won't move you, and the cinematography isn't outrageous. It's simply decent. After watching it my main thought was "at least it wasn't another zombie movie." If you're tired of summer blockbusters (and I mean, who wouldn't be?) throw this on to kill an hour or two.

EddiesFathersSon Unfortunately this movie is about what the end of the world would actually be rather than what a movie maker imagines it could be. And we all know the end would suck. There's no need to spend an hour and a half seeing that. The film's approach had the potential to be go in an interesting direction especially the opening where a the gang steps in to help a loving dad caring for his dying daughter. But it nothing goes anywhere and the gang just leaves anyone sick behind. It asks a lot of those cool thoughtful post-apocalyptic type questions about love, commitment, brother's keeper and the like. Unfortunately the answer is always "Dump em and leave a little food if she was your girlfriend"Ultimately the whole movie boils down to - sometimes you just gotta shoot your brother to get the car keys - and that ain't much of a movie.

MattyGibbs Four young people try and survive in a world overrun by a deadly virus. The film concentrates on how the four react to each other as they hit trouble on their journey to find a safe haven. This is a familiar story but it creates a very tense and doom laden atmosphere with great cinematography. The dialogue and performances are very natural and the film makes you question what you would do in the same scenario. This is a much better film than the superficially similar Contagion and benefits from focusing on just a few characters. It shows that even without a big budget if you have a sharp script you can make a very good film. This is one of the few films that gets better as it progresses and the ending was excellent.I wasn't expecting too much from this film and it surpassed my expectations by a long way. If you like post apocalyptic films then this is well worth a watch
