Joe Dante Ultra cheap, ultra stupid, the worst bunch of "actors" you've ever seen. This disaster of a movie isn't even mildly entertaining. Even the few gore effects are lame and the topless girls are ugly. The fact that the film was made to look like a 70s biker flick gets boring very fast. Don't waste 2 hours of your life... I mean, 1 hour and 10 minutes of your life with this garbage on celluloid. Anyway, the worst thing is the "creature" at the end of the movie. It is clearly a guy in a very very cheap costume and so laughable it will make you cringe. Sadly, this is not a movie "so bad it's good". It is just awfully bad. Go watch something else!
Ryan Howard AMAZING MOVIE! Trashy, filthy and fun horror. Hilarious in all the right places and dark when it needs to be. The setting felt right for the time period and the gore was over the top but in the best way possible. I bought it and watched it again after I finished it the first time. The actors are all great (which is rare for independent horror) and they all play the parts really well. I went into this with medium expectations and was BLOWN AWAY. Soundtrack was really good throughout the movie, I really enjoyed the intro credits music and the random cuts of the Impalers flicking off the camera and raising hell. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys 70s exploitation at its finest. Bikers, Beer and Bigfoot could you ask for more?
superx-13 This movie is gruesome AND funny. A successful homage to 70s grind house - both hilarious and disturbing at the same time. Obviously, it's low budget and the acting isn't great, but it's well- suited for this film - maybe even intentional. And the dialog is a riot. Funny or not, this is still a horror movie and there were definitely a couple of scenes that made me cringe. If you are a B-Movie, Drive-In, Low-Budget, 70s, Biker or Exploitation fan, see it. It's a B-Movie's movie! Plenty of awesome crammed into this film - boobs, bikers, blood, Bigfoot, beer, Nazis, mad scientists and gore, gore, gore. And the soundtrack is great!
Jeremy Cifer (monstershow-228-322857) Why did it take this long for someone to make a good grindhouse movie? Every single one that has been released over the last couple of years suffers from the same problems of being way to slick to be an accurate representation of grindhouse. DEAR GOD NO! proves you don't need a big budget, cgi, name actors and a giant technical crew to make a modern classic grindhouse film. You just need an understanding of why people cherish grindhouse cinema. I'm happy to report every review on IMDb is accurate. This is the love letter to grindhouse I thought Tarrantino and Rodriquez could deliver but didn't. If DEAR GOD NO! had come out before their GRINDHOUSE double feature we may of been looking at a full blown revival instead of the periodic grindhouse-esque films we get like Machete & HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN. I can not stress enough how authentic and original this film is. Instead of just lifting complete plots it takes hundreds of previous elements and creates something refreshingly new. Hopefully this will see a wider release and a franchise of DEAR GOD NO! movies.
