Zbigniew_Krycsiwiki With the cinematographer, the A.D., and the entire art department fired one week into production, the producers unhappy with director Kevin Yagher's 110- minutes-long cut, the producers hired a new director ( Joe Chappelle, who later had the same decisions forced upon him, during filming of the sixth Halloween film ) the producers edited, rewrote, partially refilmed, and completely restructured this, frustratingly turning it into a hacked to ribbons shell of its former self. The ambitious expansion of the LeMarchand history from the 18th century, following their bloodline for centuries, through the 22nd century, where a distant descendant attempts to break the " curse " on the lineage, the construction of the Lament Configuration, almost like an anthology film, in the 110- minutes-long bootleg/ workprint/ reconstruction, and while it was confusing at first, once I figured out the plot, it was quite good. It genuinely seemed an attempt at expanding the plotlines, rather than just simply rehashing what happened before. But the 80-odd minutes-long theatrical cut omits all but the gore, and the bare essentials of the original plot, and tacking on a silly happy ending, ruining the original downbeat, profound ending. The two different cuts of this film are dramatically different, and a must for fans of this series. The 82 minutes-long cut is okay, not as bad as some have labelled it, but not particularly good, either. The 110 minutes-long cut is flawed, slower paced, but expands dramatically on plot threads which are barely given a passing glance in the theatrical cut.
trashgang Remener Jason Voorhees going to space, people hated that, it was 2001. But 5 years earlier Kevin Yagher had to direct pinhead in space, the most hated entry in the franchise were Doug Bradley plays pinhead. The story takes place in 3 era's, the important one is in space and they are all connected due a bloodline. So we follow a girl that has walked among humans for ages. It's only in space that she's a cenobite. The story itself isn't really that strong. The history of the toymaker, the creator of the box, isn't that interesting but it's the gore added that makes it worth seeing. Weere as in part 3 the cenobites looked a bit funny and stuff was sometimes done with morphing here the cenobites do look like fine. The creation of the twins is really well done. It's not all that bad, it's just a weak story but as i said earlier, once pinhead comes in it do works out fine. Gore 1,5/5 Nudity 0,5/5 Effects 2,5/5 Story 2/5 Comedy 0/5
jacobjohntaylor1 Don't get me wrong the first three Hell raiser movies are very scary. But this one is scarier. This is one of the scariest movies ever made. This movie starts out in the further. Then goes back to the 1700's. Then is goes back to the further. Then goes to modern times. Then it goes back the the further. There is one actor who is in all of the time pieces. All the three of the characters he play are related to each other. The later sequels take place just after the modern time in this movie. But before the further time. And the past part takes place before the first one. The later sequels are not very good. But this one is great. It is one of the best horror movies ever made. It has great acting. It also has a great story line. It also has great special effects. See it. It is a must see. It is very intense.
Python Hyena Hellraiser 4: Bloodline (1996): Dir: Alan Smithee / Cast: Doug Bradley, Valentina Vargas, Bruce Ramsay, Charlotte Chatton, Kim Myers: Sickening wretch bent on graphic violence. The image of a human body suspended by hooks is enough call to vomit. Subtitle suggests generations of evil. Story regards an ancient toymaker who made a cube that can summon and destroy demons. It is obvious to anyone after seeing the movie that this wasn't regarding a Rubics Cube. It might have been more interesting if it was. See if Pinhead can get all the colours matching. Anyway, a rescue team invades a space station and finds the film's narrator. Soon Pinhead and his demons arrive and make short work of them in all sorts of graphic ways that would create more vomit than an evening of heavy drinking. Filled with great visual elements matched with a screenplay overrun with idiocy. It assembles a bunch of nameless peons who die graphically for the sake of entertainment. To top it off this film is directed with the alias Alan Smithee, which means someone other than the audience hated it too. Bad acting headed by Doug Bradley as Pinhead and Valentina Vargas, Bruce Ramsay, Kim Myers, and Charlotte Chatton. While the original film is intriguing and creative with its visual elements, this third sequel is an exercise in gore and guts that belongs in a barf bag with viewer's results. Score: 2 / 10
